The Chevrolet Bel Air was the king of the full-size production from the automaker in the 1950s and early 1960s. The car, such as the 1960 Chevrolet Bel Air, sold well until the Chevrolet Impala supplanted it in the mid-1970s. The 1960 Bel Air is part of the fourth generation for the model, and is available in either a 2-door coupe or hardtop or 4-door sedan or hardtop. Three engine options are available and include a 235.5-cubic inch, 3.9-liter Blue Flame inline-6 engine, 293 ci, 4.6-liter V8 engine, and a 348 ci, 5.7-liter V8 engine, all mated to either a 3- or 4- speed manual transmission or a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. With the fourth generation came new styling cues, such as wing-shaped tailfins that set flat against the back end, as well as a rear window overhang. Multiple finish options are available, including several different two-tone colors like green and white, silver and burgundy, or blue and white, as well as many single colors. Although there are a limited number of actual 1960 Chevrolet Bel Airs available as part of the large inventory on eBay, parts are readily available. If you already have your cruising mobile, keeping it in good running condition is a snap with Bel Air parts.
