USB-C Tablets

Choosing a USB-C Tablet

A tablet computer is your personal and portable computer that does a lot for you. Tablets are desirable for the thin, light, and comfortable screen size they come in. These let you access programs and the Internet away from your laptop and desktop computer via Wi-Fi.

What Are Tablet Features to Consider?

  • Operating System. Consider using the same OS for your multiple devices. This allows easy sync and connectivity. For your Windows computer or laptop, you can choose among Windows or Android tablets.
  • USB Connectivity. Consider an Android device that you can access and charge via USB ports. Check that this USB feature is working and that your tablet comes with the right USB connector, such as a USB-C connector, which many Android tablets use. Check that you can connect them to your USB-C adapter or Windows laptop without problems.
  • Storage. Android tabs can have 8 GB of internal storage and above. A number of these Pro models allow for external space via microSD or flash drive access.
  • Wi-Fi. Check that Wi-Fi and data access are working properly. This is important if you plan to search and stream content away from your desktop computer.

What Are Some Tablet Accessories?

  • Keyboard. Some Pro units come with a stock keyboard. Other third-party products, you can connect wirelessly via Bluetooth. Consider getting a keyboard that is also compatible with your Windows laptop or computer.
  • microSD and OTG USB drives. These provide extra storage for your devices and make the transfer of files more convenient. Some are SSD and grant quick access of files. Use them on both your tablet and laptop with ease.
  • Tablet Stand. These give you hands-free access to your tab. Prop it up on a stand and watch a movie comfortably.
  • Stylus. Some prefer the normalcy of using a pen to access the touchscreen, to draw, to sign, and to jot down notes.
  • Covers and Screen Protectors. These help maintain and protect your unit from scratches and bumps.

What Kind of Tablet Should I Choose?

  • Consider an HD display for viewing pleasure. If you are a gamer, constant app user, eBook reader, and the like, choose a device that offers quality graphics.
  • Consider a lightweight model for daily use. If you depend on your tab for daily work and leisure, go for lightweight ones that are easy to fit in your bag.
  • Consider one with good camera features. If you plan to use your device for photography or video communication, go for front and rear cameras with higher MP measurements.
  • Consider a large screen for frequent use. Small screens are often hard on the eyes.
