How does engine timing work in the Nissan Maxima?

For car engines to operate at peak performance, every part has to work at timed intervals. This sequence is controlled by the timing system, which ensures that each part rotates at the correct time and speed. The following parts are involved:

  • Timing Belt or Chain: The timing belt or chain runs throughout the entire system. Most Nissan Maxima models are equipped with timing chains, which are made of metal and tend to last longer than belts. It is responsible for keeping the other parts in time while the engine is being operated.
