Rome Snowboard Design Syndicate is a brand that designs and sells snowboards and snowboard equipment. Rome Snowboards sells snowboards for men, women, and kids. Here is some information about the types of snowboards available from Rome SDS.What board length should you use?
The snowboard's height should reach between your chest and nose when upright, but additional factors such as your weight, height, and skill will also determine an appropriate board size. If you’re a freestyle rider, you’ll prefer shorter boards because this enables you to do in-air spins and ride rails if it's in your skill set. It's also appropriate to opt for a board that is not too long when doing flips, jumps, and riding powder. If you’re a free rider, on the other hand, opt for a longer board for stability when snowboarding at high speeds and for floatation in the mountains. What is a board's flex?
Flex refers to the flexibility or softness of a snowboard. Soft boards are designed to turn at slow speeds. Stiff boards, on the other hand, are designed to be stable and used for high speeds. The flex ratings of Rome Snowboards are consistent company-wide.How can you tell if a boot fits right?
Here are some tips if you are looking for boots:
- Take out the insole and test your foot against it. There should be a width equal to your finger between your big toe and the front end of the insole. You can also test the boot shell without the insole by moving your foot back and forth to get an idea of how much space remains.
- Put the insole back in the boot and tighten with the recommended mechanism for the boot. Once tightened, you should still be able to move your toes in the boot.
- Simulate edge turns by bending your knee forward to see how high your heel lifts from the bottom of the boot. The amount of play should not be much more than a half inch.
You should wax your snowboard after every couple of days of use. The base of the board frequently gets dry, and waxing helps prevent that. A waxed snowboard is designed to prevent you from getting stuck on flat terrain. White and grayish areas under your board are a good indication that the board needs waxing.Content provided for informational purposes only. eBay is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rome SDS.
