The 41-Millimeter Rolex Submariner Ref 126610LN
Since Rolex released the first Submariner steel dive watch in 1953, its size has remained virtually unchanged. Rolex watches for women and men have a defined design language, making the Submariner instantly recognizable. Most models come with a 39- or 40-millimeter case. However, the Swiss watch brand switched things up with Ref 126610. It's among the first Submariner watches to have a new 41-millimeter case, and it has several subtle design cues to make the timepiece feel fresh.
Key Features of the Ref 126610LN Steel Dive Watch
The Rolex watches for men in the Submariner lineup sported the Maxi case for nearly two decades. That remains true with Ref 126610LN. While they're the same size as traditional and super cases, they have wider bezels, thicker lugs, and other subtle design features that create a bulkier profile.
With the launch of Ref 126610LN, Rolex made a few changes to create a more vintage profile. The larger 41-millimeter case allowed the watchmaker to extend and slim down the lugs. You'll also notice that the crown guards are more subdued as well.
Ref 126610LN doesn't reinvent the Submariner design, but like many references before, it refines the design to create something new while staying true to the Submariner line.
This steel dive watch comes with a standard black dial, a matching bezel, and a Cerachrom insert. The unidirectional bezel has a 60-minute scale with a pearl pip at 0/60. Like most modern Submariners, Ref 126610 has a sapphire crystal for durability and water resistance down to 300 meters.
The Ref 126610LN Rolex Submariner watch comes with an Oyster bracelet. It has the Oysterlock folding clasp and Glidelock extension. What's unique about this bracelet is that it's slightly wider to accommodate the new case size. At its widest point, it's 21 millimeters, unlike the standard 20 millimeters of bracelets that precede it.
