Buick Rendezvous Instrument Clusters

The Buick Rendezvous is a General Motors car that was produced from 2002 until 2007. The Rendezvous includes a standard instrument cluster, with several optional or aftermarket clusters available throughout its life. As a GM product, Buick Rendezvous instrument clusters are compatible with several other vehicles.

What features does the Buick Rendezvous instrument cluster include?
  • Black on white display: From the 2002 to 2004 model years, the Buick came standard with a black on white display with luxuriously styled gauges designed to resemble a premium watch.
  • White on black display: From the 2005 to 2007 model years, the black on white display was replaced with a white on black display. These two instrument clusters are interchangeable with each other.
  • Speedometer: The Buick Rendezvous comes standard with a speedometer that shows the vehicle's speed in both miles per hour and kilometers per hour.
  • Tachometer: A standard tachometer displays the current revolutions per minute for the engine, indicating the current strain on both the motor and transmission.
  • Fuel gauge: A fuel gauge indicates the amount of fuel left in the car, with hash marks for the full tank, half tank, and quarter tank levels.
  • Temperature gauge: A standard temperature gauge demonstrates the running temperature of the car's engine.
  • Trip computer system: The factory instrument cluster contains a trip computer with a standard compass and thermometer that is also capable of displaying the current fuel efficiency, distance to empty, and average fuel efficiency. A trip odometer is also standard equipment.
What other vehicles is the Rendezvous instrument cluster compatible with?

The Rendezvous uses a standard General Motors instrument cluster with enhanced styling for the upscale Buick model. This instrument cluster can be interchanged into many late model GM trucks and SUVs to add a more luxurious appearance to the vehicle. Any 2003-2006 Chevrolet or GMC full-sized truck or van uses the same instrument cluster, offering full compatibility.

How do you replace a Buick Rendezvous instrument cluster?
  • Remove the dashboard surround: Pulling firmly, grab the plastic piece that surrounds the instrument cluster and pull at the seams. You may need a small screwdriver to remove the dashboard surround, but be careful not to damage the plastic. The dashboard surround is not screwed in but is held in with plastic clips.
  • Remove the plastic lens: Again using a screwdriver, pry off the plastic lens that covers the instrument cluster.
  • Remove the instrument panel: Carefully pull away the gauge needles and pry backward to remove the instrument panel from your Buick vehicle. Unplug the instrument cluster.
  • Install the new instrument cluster: Repeat the same steps in reverse to install the new instrument panel in your Buick.
