The watch is in working order. The mahogany wood box is solid and in great shape with a few marks and scratches due to use. Manufacturer: Hamilton. Wind Indicator Present: Yes. Wind Indicator Available: Yes.
The sub-dial below the hour and minute hands is the seconds. The sub-dial above the hands is the mainspring tension - or how wound up the watch is. It is in running condition and was owned by a watchmaker.

Works great. Please see pictures. Nice cosmetically but may have minor imperfections. This was locked shut with no key. This was taken to a professional locksmith and it was unlocked. The locksmith removed the metal bar mechanism on the door and placed that with the hardware in a bag. This can easily be re-installed but it will cause the door to lock shut again if closed. You will need to get a key.

Sold as-is.

(The software is written by Graham Baxter of Delph Electronics in the UK and I am the US Distributor. You can log the data and see how the performance varies over the full wind. I bought one too, many years ago).
The upper lid opens to allow reading the watch through a glass cover. The second lid is opened for winding and setting procedures. The case interior contains a plaque with a safety reminder about the 'safety setting device'.
Runs on a single AA battery (not included). Hamilton represented these as accurate to a minute per year. Beautiful three tiered mahogany box with the original green baize on the bottom and original key to lock the bottom two tiers.
WELL I'D HAVE TO SAY AT LEAST AFTER 1900 ANYWAYS. IT'S A MARVEL LOOK AT. SIGNED HAMILTON LANCASTER. IT HAS LARGE SHINY GLOSS BLACK ARABIC NUMBERS & MATCHING HANDS WITH A SUB SECOND DIAL & ALSO A POWER WIND OR UP/ DOWN INDICATOR.
Rare Hamilton ships chronometer DIAL ONLY. This dial is for the later 1970's - 80's chronometer. Fits onto the Fema signed mechanical movements. Dial is about 105.8mm in diameter. See pictures for more details.
The Hamilton fusee chain production line made these chains in 4.75", then 9.5", and then finally into the 28.5" lengths to finish the final chain. The final chains had the hooks added and then received the final finishing/polishing operations.
THIS HAS NO FRONT BEZEL --THIS HAS NO CRYSTAL. THIS HAS NO STEM OR CROWN. THIS HAS BEEN IN A FIRE AND NEEDS POLISHING UP A LOT AND IS SOLD AS IS FOR THE PARTS. SOLD AS IS. THE BACK OPENS AND CLOSEES FINE.
