Glycine Combat Wristwatches

I decided on the GL0087 - black dial, baton hour markers, rubber strap. The 42mm size is perfect for my 7.25 inch (18.4 cm) wrist. It combines functional features such as rotating bezel, screw-down crown and 200m water resistance with a height of only 11mm. So it has a functional and slightly rugged look while being stylish, comfortable and slim enough to wear to work without the bulk of many diver watches. Accuracy in the 3 days I have owned it has been good, as expected, +2 secs per day. The bezel is a bit stiff to rotate but this may loosen up over time. It clicks loudly and positively and feels high quality. Some online reviews have mentioned concerns about quality since Glycine was bought by Invicta. I can see no evidence of sub-standard quality on my Glucose and it is as good as my Steinhart OVM. The flat sapphire and dial layout provide excellent legibility although there is some reflection off the sapphire in strong light. A ceramic bezel insert would have been nice...but for USD309 I am amazed at how good this watch is. The rubber strap is a little stiff but comfort is fine. I will probably try a black and grey NATO strap soon and expect it will suit the watch well. The size, weight and style of this watch have really impressed me. It's a great all occasions watch and amazing value compared to what is offered by some "luxury" brands. No regrets at all.

Fantastic watch for the money, although more suitable for larger wrists. Pros: Sapphire crystal, 200 meters water resistance, thin case, and accurate reliable movement. For $350, you can't go wrong with this piece. If you like the general profile of the submariner but don't want a homage, this is the watch to get it. It's like a military-inspired submariner.

I really like this particular glycine combat sub model, the dial is simple and clean, simple style hands, very easy to read the time. Really reminds me of vintage sub watches. It is keeping very accurate time, quality Swiss made movement, nice comfortable case size.

The Glycine Combat is one of the slimmest 200 meter divers watches out there at any price and with this nicely finished bronze case and comfortable strap, this is my favorite in the line.

like all the combat subs it's thin for a dive watch. Easy to read face, lume is excellent.
