Have old equipment that still works? Use this box to use that equipment.
This little box does exactly what it is supposed to do, and it does it without external power, and without any noticeable loss of signal. The two rear outputs are very useful, and the front inputs help when attaching such things as a camera or other external video device. The push buttons have a solid feel, and the box itself is sturdy. One should be aware that the two different video inputs, S-Video and Composite, cannot be converted by the box. Either you use Composite Video or S-Video for all inputs and outputs, although with the two output sets, a number of interesting combinations are possible. I have used this box to connect an older CRT TV with Composite Video and Stereo Inputs, to an Over-The-Air digital signal converter, and a DVD player, and an antique VHS machine. It was the best unit for the money that I could find, and so far, has worked perfectly. Do not underestimate the double outputs. That feature is very useful. I can, for example, feed any inbound signal back to the VCR for recording, and watch that same signal at the same time. It is a very good black box!
