    Worked Fine for Thinkpad SL500 DVD Drive!

    I needed an external DVD drive for my desktop and happened to have a DVD-RW drive from a Thinkpad SL500 in a drawer. I noticed the Thinkpad DVD drive happened to have a SATA connector and was specified at 12.7mm. This external case enclosure did the trick! The Thinkpad DVD drive fit in it and the supplied face plate fit as well. I plugged it into my desktop and W10 loaded the driver for the DVD drive which allowed me to burn ISOs and to watch DVDs via VLC.
