There's one aspect to this board that no one but Tyan can compare to. They provide drivers for Windows Server operating systems. Asus, Abit, Gigabyte, etc - I tried them all for my WHS. No drivers available for 1/2 the stuff, including the SATA controllers. Supermicro answers the call with drivers available all the way back to NT 4.0, and 32bit and 64bit versions of servers - all the way to 2008 R2 64bit. Very high marks! Besides that, it supports the fastest Core 2 processors ever created - the quad core and extreme editions versions as well. That includes the 1333mhz FSB of the highest end cpus. If there is a low point, it would that it only supports DDR 2 - and only up to 800mhz. Therefore, this review is marked as "Excellent" for it's operating system support. But, it is not an overclocker's mobo. Overclockers and extremely performance gurus should look elsewhere.
