Enjoyable classic Disney

I enjoyed it very much, but then I'm a sucker for classic/vintage Disney... :-)

The movie was enjoyable because of all the different music features.

I bought it for my boy because I thought he might enjoy it. He does like the different types of music the movie has. I liked the fact my boy enjoyed it. I didn't like that it may have been a little advanced for his age. I probably would buy again.Read full review...

You were a good man, Charles Schulz. In a world where commercialism and political correctness run rampant, you never compromised your vision and your insistence that the Peanuts characters never be drawn or continued by anyone else leaves your creations original and pure for the many generations to come that will enjoy your work.

That vision is on display in the Peanuts Classic Holiday Collection, which features the three most popular Peanuts cartoons ever: It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown; A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving; and A Charlie Brown Christmas. In addition, each DVD features a bonus cartoon that is related to the feature cartoon on the DVD. The bonus cartoons are: You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown; The Mayflower Voyages; and It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown. Each one of the cartoons varies in their appeal and how well they have held up over time, but all six are wonderfully transferred to DVD, with bright, sharp colors and crisp audio.

In It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, all the kids are getting ready to go out on Halloween night for Trick or Treat except Linus, who is planning to stay all night in the pumpkin patch, awaiting the arrival of "The Great Pumpkin", a figure who supposedly brings toys and presents to the kids waiting in the most sincere pumpkin patch. All the kids laugh at Linus except for Charlie Brown's little sister, Sally, who has a crush on Linus. While Linus and Sally are waiting in the pumpkin patch, Charlie Brown's dog, Snoopy, is fantasizing about being a World War I flying ace, fighting the dreaded Red Baron and getting trapped behind enemy lines in war-torn France. This is probably my personal favorite of all the Charlie Brown cartoons. I think one of the reasons is that, unlike the other holiday special, Charles Schulz creates such a legend with "The Great Pumpkin", it's surprising it hasn't caught on as a regular Halloween myth with the world's children. Just think, instead of having all those annoying kids knocking on your door and throwing corn at the windows on Halloween, they could all be bunched together in pumpkin patches across America, waiting for the arrival of the mythic figure, and letting the rest of us get some well-deserved sleep!

The second DVD brings us A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, which has always been somewhat disturbing to watch because Snoopy's little feathered friend, Woodstock, actually engages in cannibalism at the conclusion of the story when he chows down on some turkey! Other than that, this is another wonderful holiday special, in which Snoopy must prepare Thanksgiving dinner for all of Charlie Brown's friends. The result is a Thanksgiving dinner only a beagle could love, but it all works out in the end for everyone. The highlight of this special is watching Snoopy in a fight with a lawn chair out in the backyard...a fight that both participants wind up losing!

The third DVD contains perhaps the most beloved Charlie Brown special of them all: A Charlie Brown Christmas. Very few of you are not familiar with the story, but in short, Charlie searches for the true meaning of Christmas among all the commercialism in the world (and keep in mind this is 1960's. He finds what he is looking for in a lonely little Christmas tree and through Linus' great speech in which he quotes New Testament passages about the birth of Christ. A devout Christian himself, Charles Schulz was always able to present his beliefs through his characters without preaching.

The Three Caballeros

Good movie. You do not have to be a Disney nut to enjoy. Wish they made others. My entire family loved the movie.

One of Disney's best!

This is an amazing Disney movie! a must have. The music in the movie is beautiful as wel as the scenery and colours. this is a movie that cannot be redone! you wont see another movie like this.

The Three Caballeros

I had bought this to add to my Walt Disney collection. I hadn't realized it until after I recieved it, that it wasn't a region 1, but a region 2 movie. Other wise everything else was great.
