Rugged smartphone, not state-of-the-art, a few years old, intuitive "as you expect" user interface
Since it is used & a few years old, it is not state-of-the art, but it suits me well for the "out-of-contract" price. After purchasing a Samsung smartphone and using for less than a year about 5 years ago, it is nice to have a smartphone that works. Samsung has a software bug whereby a text message incoming when you are on a phone call shuts the entire phone down, and somehow it rebuilds itself in about 24. This bug was documented in various Samsung models in Samsung User Forums. I am very happy with the HTC Inspire thus far. I cannot be accurate about the battery life yet. It seems a little short, but I need to purchase a new battery to be totally accurate in that regard. When buying a used phone, make sure the feedback rating is adequate from he seller, and/or the serial number is listed, so that you can warrant that the phone has a "clean title", and is not rendere unusable by one of the mobile device databased (lost, stolen, etc.)Read full review...

I was going to cancel my order because my daughter did not like the phone but felt bad about it after he made the comment about eating the 3.00 shipping charge after it had been processed. I am having to eat 30.00 because the SIM card cannot be recongnized after taking it to the AT&T store to transfer her # too it. So I ate the cost of a bad phone.Read full review...

Easy navigation, very durable.
This phone looks and operates like a new one, this is the second Inspire that I have owned, these phones are very durable and easy to use, the only thing that I dislike about the phones is their battery drain, with phone on and not in use, the battery only last about 12 to 14 hours, much much less when in use.Read full review...

It's an okay cellphone
I bought my AT&T HTC Inspire (used) because of the micro SD card option, LED flash, alleged call quality, battery life, & the superior ratings I saw on the net. I use it on Red Pocket Mobile. To let you know, I'm no phone techy, so bear that in mind as you read this. I simply like a few options (mentioned above) on my phone & want to be able to hear those who call me. For the most part, the Inpsire has been okay. There was a small trick to downloading my saved ringtones from my computer (made them smaller/went through the SD card), but once I figured it out, it was easy. It would not recognize my larger ringtones that were already saved on the SD card. I read that the alarm clock might disappear; it did. Mine wouldn't download the alarm app that was recommended on the net, either. Call quality is decent, as is the texting experience, & the battery life. The screen quality is not bad, but admittedly, there is better. I surf the net very little, but when I have, the speed has been decent on the whole. While not a large phone by today's super mega cell phone standards, this one is still a good size. It may be a little on the heavy side for some, but I like the heft, which gives it a solid feel. Navigation of the Inspire seems appropriate for a cellphone. I'm still in the early stages of use with this phone, but for now, it's okay & nothing more.Read full review...
Great Product, The Perefect Size - Solid!
This is a great phone especially if you are not interested in carrying a phone that's just and inch smaller than your tablet.
A nice size screen that plays videos very well, easy call and text features, a very nice simple design.
The battery is the only real issue with this phone as it really sucks out the power. I have chargers everyone to make sure it stays charged. For the price, it is a very good phone even with the battery that I highly recommend.Read full review...
You can't beat this for when it comes to value.
I had wanted a HTC inspire since they came out. A tech savvy friend was explaining the features of this phone vs the iphone. I finally wound up getting one. I realize that they are a little dated, but I love mine. The main reason I like them, is because they use a micro-sd card for memory. That allows you to put it in a different phone if you break your phone. The 8 mp camera takes great pictures (which you will still have if you break your phone, due to them being stored on the sd card). The fact that it doesn't have a front facing camera doesn't bother me because I'm not a "selfie" person. The operating system is quick enough for me. The gps and navigation is fantastic, and it has all the features I want plus some. The only real drawback is battery life. It lasts through a 12 hour shift at work, but not much more. Probably would last longer if I turned off bluetooth, wifi, and gps.Read full review...
good value for the price
this is the forerunner of the htc sensation and amaze.its a very nice phone with lots of features, better than basic but not the features of the newer high dollar phones currently on the market, but your not paying the price either.so if your looking for good basic phone with your better than basic features, talk to text, decent camera, wifi, bluetooth, decent screen size that automatically rotates, and others, this will do it.battery life is not great, but about the same as most of the others, will get you thru the day unless your are spending a lot of time on it then you will probably want to pick up another battery and take it with you and keep a charger handy.Read full review...
Good Phone, Basic and easy use. Great Value for the money.
Bought beacuse i wanted a basic smartphone, it has a great camera and screen, the only thing that makes this smartphone no-perfect is the battery life if you have it connected to data it wont last too much. However i would buy it again: pretty good Operating System, a 8mpx camera with dual flash, its a powerfull tool limited by the battery lifetime.Read full review...
Powerful Budget Smartphone
The HTC Inspire 4G is of a modest weight for its size, but this is easily compensated by the 4.3' display and slim body. The back housing may be removed while the device is active, unlike those that power off automatically. The display is sharp and colorful with smooth transitions, and quite a few useful functions to adjust the view. HTC Sense, the primary operating system, runs much faster and smoother than earlier versions.
The HTC Inspire 4G is best for people seeking a budget smartphone with a powerful operating system, plenty of applications, and functions comparable to higher end devices. Read full review...
