Never trust a picture and sometimes

Product details have been obviously copied/pasted without proof-reading them first and if there's a inexpensive item and normally it's relatively at a higher cost, it's too good to be true. This camera was missing items including the most expensive item: the lens. The manual was in Spanish, and it was missing cables. When looking through the other paperwork, I found a billing invoice. I then suspected this camera was stolen.Read full review...

Very Good Camera! Simple and easy to use!

Like I said, Canon's are awesome, and the 450D is the Best!

My first Canon

This was my first Canon, have always been a Nikon user and am very pleased with the quality, color and ease of use. For an entry level camera it is a true winner.

Great camera for beginner and amateur photographers.

This is my first DSLR camera. This camera takes amazing photographs once you know how to use it. There are plenty of tutorials to be found on-line that helped me through the learning curve. I am also taking photography classes and have learned a lot through those as well.
I highly recommend this camera for beginners to learn on, and amateur's to grow into professionals with.

An excellent camera and and outstanding seller.

This camera takes excellent pictures, very clear and crisp. It is super easy to use and I bring it with me everywhere because you never know when the perfect scene will be there for you. It came with many extras and I've enjoyed trying each of them out. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and with the seller who was outstanding.Read full review...

Excellent camera for an any photogaphic needs.

This camera may not be the newest model, but its resolution and operating features are entirely adequate for my needs. I have a 50mm prime, a short and a long zoom and we have found the picture quality to be excellent, even on a 24" monitor. The camera is much lighter than our older-model Canon DSLR and we especially happy with the exposure metering, even in tough situations like backlighting and lower light situations. Good battery life and general ease of use are additional pluses. I would recommend this model to any casual photographer, which is what we are. I am sure a more advanced user could also make wonderful photos with the more advanced features this camera offers.Read full review...

So far, this has been a good experience. I will update the review if needed

I haven't used the camera yet. However, it is as described and the shipping was fast and fair. I bout this product to upgrade to a full DLSR and take photos of my kid cheer leading during her senior year. At this point the product seems to compare very well in terms of features and specifically in terms of price.Read full review...

Quality product for the right price. You won't regret the purchase.

Buying this camera was an upgrade from all the point-and-shoot cameras I've owned before. While they've served their purpose over the years, and have gotten us through a lot of wonderful memories, I can honestly say I'm even more excited about the next decade of memories I hope to capture with this camera.

This camera is quick. My wife was capturing images of seagulls and pelicans at the beach today, and while not every image was perfect, I would say that at least 3/4 of them were pretty close. We haven't even tried the sport setting, yet the camera seems to handle the action just fine on other settings.

Coming from years of experience with point-and-shoot cameras and disposables, it was refreshing to see the first batch of prints from a high-quality camera. I notice that the colors and lighting are coming through much richer than I'm used to. I've always wanted a camera that gives you that nice, blurred background effect and depth of field - now I have one! My wife says that it makes all of our pictures look more professional.

Now that I have a camera with modular lenses, I can go out and buy new lenses that suit different situations. For example, a long distance lens that can handle vast landscape shots or a close distance lens that can capture the minutia of a flower petal.

The only negative that I can pin down so far regarding the functionality of the camera is that it can be a bit noisy at times. It's not obnoxiously loud, but when the camera auto-focuses, it will whine if you're too close. But I guess that just depends on what lens you're using. I still have a lot to learn about how to properly use a fancy camera like this.

As a final note, the battery on the camera seems to last a long time, and I bought this camera used! On my last camera, I used rechargeable batteries and had to change them out frequently. This camera used a rechargeable battery pack and I haven't had to charge it, even after using it twice for over two hours of run-time each.

Camera Purchase

The Cannon EOS Rebel XSI IS a upgrade from my Rebel G SLR camera and Rebel EOS camera I still own. I have had good luck with Cannon Camera's that I have owned from early 1980's.My first cannon was a second hand one that got stolen from my friends truck. I bought one to replace that one and that was damage from hurricane Andrew back in August of 1992. I bought the Rebel G and have use it and have not had any complaints. Then I got a Rebel Eos from a pawn shop that was a good buy and looked good also worked great. The new digital camera now gives you that picture instantly where you use to have to buy rolls of film, then load take picture s then take roll of film to have developed. Pro's,The price was right for me. The picture quality is great with the 12.1 megapixel and all the added features makes it a great camera. Having a rechargeable battery is great also which lasts a good amount of picture taking even using flash. Software for computer is easy to use. The lens kit is great , the lens works great with the imagine stabilization. The only con is getting use to not putting hands or fingers on led screen, other then that I am real happy and satisfied with my digital camera that I have purchased. I would recommend the camera to any one who would want to buy a new camera.Read full review...
