It is good, but not excellent

Aside from the flaws of a used iphone that usually comes(scratches on glass, etc) the 4.2.1 iOS is of course, is slow. The GPS option is a rather nice function, but it is unreliable as you could barely get the reception, but it is good enough to see where the heck you are if you get lost.

Since my iphone is jailbroken and unlocked phone, I am able to use different carriers than just AT&T, making switches of sim card if needed. This is rather standard, but it is also at least four times expensive without a contract.

Also, besides the fact that this is also an out-dated iphone, the touch screen is rather superior than most touchscreen smartphones I had experienced.

Now, since it doesn't come with something like an iphone finder, if i lose it, i lose a great deal of investment. So I have to make sure i won't lose it.

The phone is widely commercialized and famous so there are a tons of paid and free apps.

I have to say, Apple(the company) is ingenious with its business strategies.

If I update iTunes(but i don't, only the essential drivers), the jailbroken will fail and who knows what other setbacks might occur. The iphone itself cannot connect directly with a USB and needs special programs to do so. If you're not tech savvy enough to follow online instruction guides, you won't be able to put your mp3/mp4 into your iphone. I was rather caught off guard with that perspective.

It is unfortunate that the mp4 formatted videos for psp could not be played as it is a different codec. I hope that a free app(maybe it is already available) will eventually come out so I could use my psp formats.

So yes, I really really hate apple for these things, just to keep their expensive iphones in demand as they really try to fight(succeeding for a few days or weeks before failing agian, but it is enough) agianst these jailbroken/unlock in their own way.

Worth The Money, Trust me!!

I was originally an Iphone skeptic, not liking the small screen size or the low megapixel camera. The day I finally got one all of that changed. The technology of the Iphone makes it highly efficient, with little to no freezing and no long periods of waiting for it to load. The camera is surprising good, and the screen size turned out not to be a limiting factor (coming from somebody who currently owns a HTC HD2 for T-Mobile). The app store has immense proportions with literally 1000s of free apps. The applications definitely make the Iphone a "Stand alone" product. I bought a 3G for my younger sister, and my next purchase will be a Iphone 3GS/ Iphone 4 for myself! If you don't have one yet, you seriously should consider getting one!Read full review...

Generic I9 - Unlocked - Some problems but OK

The phone is a good copy of the I-Phone, but we had trouble uploading the Sitia -Legacy program to get the internet and SMS to work. Corporate T-Mobile store helped - others would not. The phone has excellent call sound quality and works great, the international aspect of the phone was difficult to work with but I expected it. The clock had to be manually set, which is odd - expected it to do as other phones and set clock from the network. I was pleased to find two batteries provided in the pack, this was a benefit that I did not expect and is needed. The phone is still new and I am learning the odds and ends of how to operate the phone. The manual could be more detailed, it is a bare knuckles edition and leaves a lot of details out.Read full review...

Keep in mind, used phoned is always used...

- Why I bought it?
I was willing to give a try on an Apple device without having to spend too much money on it.
- What I like most about it?
I didn't have to sigh up to any special AT&T data plan.
- What I dislike about it?
The jail broken promise was not completely fulfilled cos still I had to do some other upgrades on the OS to be able to operate which I was promised they were done. Besides its shorted term battery that will lead me in trouble pretty soon.
- Whether or not I would buy the product again?
Not likely, I would rather pay a bit more and get a more updated product.
STILL, I must say....the auctioning moments on e-bay were great. Although I am telling myself the same thing over and over again...a used phone will always be a used vicious phone...nothing to do about it...

It is great value for the money!

An iPhone functions as a video camera, camera phone with text messaging and visual voicemail, a portable media player, and an Internet client with e-mail, web browsing, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The user interface is built around the device's multi-touch screen, including a virtual keyboard rather than a physical one. Third-party as well as Apple applications are available from the App Store, which launched in mid-2008 and now has well over 300,000[2] "apps" approved by Apple. These apps have diverse functionalities, including games, reference, GPS na...Read full reviewvigation, social networking, security[3] and advertising for television shows, films, and, I like it and I thank it is very good for you.Read full review...

Cheap price but at what cost?

I bought this phone mainly because I didn't want to pay the big price for the iphone,I didn't really expect much but it wasn't what I expected. Before anyone buys this phone a couple of things to keep in mind first of all though 3g is in the name you do not get 3g coverage.Second this phone does not seperate music by albums or artists music is just lumped together, though you can kind of organize it you still have to scroll through all songs to get to what you want.Third, you cannot play youtube videos directly from youtube. You have to download videos and change the file type on your computer then load it on phone.Fourth and last the batteries that come with this phone stinks they don't even last 8 hours if you make calls or text.I wouldn't tell people not to buy it but just give careful consideration first.Read full review...

Good item

I bought the iPhone 3G 16 Gb one day ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 2M-pixel camera with cracked screen :), and speakerphone. The iPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty bad lifespan (about 4 hours when uses WIFI. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.Read full review...
