Philadelphia 76ers Tickets

The Philadelphia 76ers franchise began in 1939 and joined the NBA in 1949. Before the team was known as the Sixers, it was called the Syracuse Nationals from 1946 to 1963. In team history, the 76ers have won five division titles, 11 conference titles, and three NBA championships. The team is a member of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference and plays at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Wells Fargo Center, Home to the Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia Sixers, officially the 76ers, proudly call the Wells Fargo Center their home. This arena was completed in 1996 and replaced the team's previous facility, the Spectrum. During game days, all ticket holders can enjoy great food and entertainment at the Pavilion or PJ Whelihan's. Located just outside of Wells Fargo Center, the Bud Light Block Party hosts live entertainment, and visitors can indulge in food, drinks, and games. The Block Party opens three hours prior to all sporting events held at the arena. Exclusive members relax at the Cadillac Grille and Cigar Bar while the Lexus Club is open to groups.

Philadelphia 76ers and the Eastern Conference

In the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference, the Philadelphia 76ers face the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets, and Toronto Raptors. This division highlights one of the biggest rivalries in the NBA: the Celtics versus the 76ers. These teams have met 18 times in the playoffs, but Boston has won 11 of those meetings. While Boston may have more championships, the 76ers have won the division five times since 1976 and the conference 11 times since 1949. The 76ers have visited the NBA Finals three times in history, defeating all three opponents.

Philadelphia 76ers 2012 Team Outlook

The Philadelphia 76ers will be relying on the likes of Andre Iguodala to once again carry the scoring load. Jrue Holiday has come into his own as an offensive presence to take some of the pressure off of Iguodala, but feeding a high-volume scorer is still necessary to put the ball in the basket. Defining the season for the 76ers will be the play of big men like Elton Brand and Thaddeus Young. There is a lot of promise for this team, coming off of a .500 season, so working hard and grinding it out might be enough to reach the postseason.
