Kansas Jayhawks Tickets

The Kansas Jayhawks football team, founded in 1890, is one of the oldest programs in the country. A founding member of the Missouri Valley Conference in 1907, Kansas was one of the schools that split off into the Big Six Conference when it formed in 1928. The Big Six Conference continued to grow until it became the Big 12 Conference in 1996.

Although Kansas has never won a national title, they have won eight conference championships. Several Jayhawks have gone on to be enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame and the NFL Hall of Fame. Kansas has a single BCS bowl victory to its credit. The Jayhawks defeated Virginia Tech in the 2007 Orange Bowl.

Memorial Stadium Tickets, Home of Kansas

The Kansas Jayhawks have played in the 50,071 seat Memorial Stadium since 1921. The team's initial game in the facility was a 21-7 defeat of in-state rival Kansas State. The stadium's historical claim to fame is being the first to be built on a college campus located west of the Mississippi River.

The Kansas Relays, one of the most prestigious track meets held in the United States, takes place here every April.

Kansas Jayhawks Rivalries

The University of Kansas Jayhawks have one of the oldest rivalries in the nation with the University of Missouri Tigers. The teams dispute the all-time record of the Border War, a conflict that began in 1891, with the Jayhawks claiming the winning scores are even. The victorious team takes home the Indian War Drum each year.

The Jayhawks also engage their in-state archenemy, the Kansas State Wildcats, annually in the Sunflower Showdown. The Governor's Cup was in the Wildcats' possession more often, but the Jayhawks lead the series at 64-37-5.
