Pearl Vintage Snare Drums

Condition: Visually how we see it is; little oxidation, chrome is near excellent. Rings are straight, not warped. Dimensions: OD - 16" x 6 1/2"H. Weight: 7 lbs, 11 oz. 14" diameter.

The shell's construction is metal with a chrome finish with normal signs of wear and use. The shell depth is appr. 5" and the diameter/head size is 14". The drum is used, but is in good, playable condition with normal wear, including some light scratches and other imperfections in the chrome finish.

It is in overall good condition and seems to have kept tune. I have a friend that is a devout drummer that told me the rough age of the item. I picked this up at a local estate sale and really don't know much more than what he has told me.

Snare guards and tension key are marked "Pearl". Control lever is marked "made in Japan". This drum features a nice red sparkle shell. The lugs show pitting and age. Drums measure 14.5" x 5.5" (measuring on the shell), from rim to rim it measures 6-3/4".

One lug is stripped & will need repair. Steel shell measures about 14 x 5. Has 10 lugs. Pitting in chrome and one spot on shell with some minor corrosion started (see in pics).

The smaller tom is 5 1/2" deep by 8" in diameter, and the larger one is 6 1/2" deep by 10" in diameter. The exterior wrap is what I believe was called "blue flash" which is actually a clear blue outer layer with a layer of what looks like aluminum foil behind.

UP FOR SALE IS A 1970s PEARL CHROME 14" SNARE DRUM , CASE & STAND... THE CHROME ON THE DRUM IS VERY NICE..STAND IS MISSING TWO OF THE THREE RUBBER FEET ON THE END OF THE LEGS.. DRUM WORKS EXCELLENT NO ISSUES... CASE SHOWS SOME WEAR BUT STILL WORKS EXCELLENT... ANY QUESTIONS FEEL FREE..

This is a 1995 Classic Black Oyster Pearl snare drum. It was autographed in person by former Beatles Drummer, PETE BEST. The maple wood shell is in excellent condition with no cracks. There is a slight finish age crack near the badge and a little rust on the chrome hoops, other than that it's a beauty! Pictures of PETE BEST signing my snare drum are here for you to view.

RARE Black Marine Pearl over Wood Shell ! Quite a rare finish & size in the USA - probably elsewhere too! Apparently they only made 100 of these to celebrate the Millennium (1999) so it is also referred to as the Millennium Edition.

The muffler is in great shape with nice chrome and felt. The muffler comes complete with original mounting hardware.

The lugs are in good shape with some signs of wear and pitting, as the photos show. The lugs are complete with original inserts, springs, and mounting hardware. The lug mounting holes measure 2" from center to center.
