I have not attempted to test this further in any way - you really don't want me breaking this stuff through stupidity,right?. NO AUDIO OUTPUT. The amp will probably require extensive restoration but it appears that the transformers are okay.

A very nice example of a Dynaco SCA-35 integrated amp. The tubes are RCA's one GE and I believe both 12AX7's are original. There is a Dynakit adapter employed in one channel so 6GH8's can be used instead of the pricey 7199's.

This preamp is very nice with only a few minor case scratches. The box is rough. The preamp is very clean inside and out. I did test it on the tape function with headphones and it sounded very nice with no excess noise.

WORKS, SHOULD CLEAN INSIDE. Cosmetics show superficial tarnish on chassis and faceplate - just part of life on the humid East Coast. Appears to be the factory version. Gave it a brief test. The amp idle is very low - can't really hear much background hum at all.

Tested the unit and it works good.

One very clean Dynaco Stereo 70 that is original and in working condition.Two of the bumper type feet are missing (see pic). No tubes are included- the ones pictured were put in the amp for testing purposes only.

The driver boards are glass epoxy boards that use a 6GH8 driver tube rather than the original 7199. The 6GH8 is electrically very similar to the 7199 with both a triode and pentode section. The pin out is different, which is why a new board is required.

Completely stock Dynaco ST-70, 35 watts per channel. Looks and sounds great. Highly customizable with new boards available and several tube options. This is a great amp. Dynaco is best remembered for its highly regarded vacuum tube stereo amplifier, the Stereo 70 (ST 70). Introduced in 1959, the ST 70 was available as a kit (Dynakit) intended for assembly by the purchaser or as a complete factory-wired unit. The ST 70 used four EL34 output tubes, one GZ34/5AR4 rectifier tube, two 7199 input (driver) tubes, two output transformers, one power transformer, and a preassembled printed circuit board (PCB) containing the driver circuit. It produced 35 watts per channel (wpc). The driver circuit had a single 7199 pentode/triode tube per channel, and used the driver tube to handle both voltage amplification and phase splitting.
