The 'cuda works as well as we expected. You have to keep an eye on it as it can get stuck sometimes. It depends on the pool shape. But, having used other types, we prefer the Baracuda. The only thing better would be a self-cleaning pool!
There are many different types of automatic pool cleaners, so one needs to decide which is best for them. The G2 is an excellent choice because it is very affordable, and is a very low maintenance pool cleaner. The reason for this is due to the fact that there are not a lot of moving parts, and so the few parts that do eventually wear out, are very inexpensive to replace. As with most automatic pool cleaners, it does an excellent job of cleaning the bottom of the pool. So, in my opinion, the G2 would be a very economical choice, not only for the short term, but also for the long term.
After years using Hayward and paying to high for parts, I decide to move to a less expensive parts unit. As cost perspective I make the correct decision. As pool cleaner decision, that is the must important point here, I am 75% happy. Difficult decision, but I am receiving for what I paid. If you have time to clean the 25% of your pool manually, I suggest Baracuda. If you are looking for an automatic 100% clean Pool, go with Hayward.
I bought a "new" one from a pool dealer at Ebay. I swear it was put together with spare parts, it did not work at all something was missing. Then I bought a used one from a individual and what a difference; as with my previous Barracuda it operates flawlessly even cleaning the stairs and underneath the ladder. My old Alpha2 was worn out and this one seems a worthy replacement. I love the Haywards too but they have too many maintenance worries with the Barracuda I change the throat every year and the pad every 2. My Alpha2 lasted over 10 years looks like this one will too.
The Zodiac Baracuda is an excellent pool sweep for our pool.the zodiac cleans the entire pool including the walls. The Zodiac easily handles leaves easily.
The in line leaf basket is easy to clean and greatly reduces maintenance on the pool filter.Routine maintenance is a breeze.Replacement parts are available and fairly priced.I recommend highly the Zodiac Baracuda G2.
This is a great cleaner. Had Hayward Navigator before and too many parts to wear out. Not to mention the G2 is much cheaper. Easy to setup and moves around the pool perfectly. Occasionally gets a small stone caught in the diaphragm, easy to remove.
It's generic and may or may not be as good as the name brand. It's hard to compare not seeing it working side by side but as we are looking to refinish the pool and may be getting a new cleaner as well, we decided not to pay the extra for the name brand. It seems to be working well.
It's is the best choice for pool cleaning. Other types just pick up leaves but this bad boy goes everywhere and cleans the sides of the pool as well as the bottom.
Excelent cleaner. Very few moving parts. Low maintenance. Just turn it and let it work. the diaphragm is the only part I had to replace. Make sure you buy the diaphragm on line. At the pool store they are 40 bucks, online I found some for 10 dollars.
love it love it love it!! I sleep with it under my pillow and kiss it before i got to bed.i dont sleep with my wife anymore. i got what i wanted. my baracuda pool cleaner part.
