I was initially prettyexcited about getting this game. Although I cannot honestly say its a bad game; I cannot tell you its that great either. You can play as either Shrek, Fiona, Donkey or The Gingerbread Man, depending on which character you select during the game. You can switch back and forth by using the right trigger switch on the gamepad. You progress through the game by performing different tasks such as collecting eyeballs for lunch on your journey, catching forest fairies, fighting Robin Hood and his band of merry men, etc. It's sort of part action, part adventure. All in all, it tends to get rather tedious and boring after a while.
Especially since there are mini-adventures within each level, and you have to complete the entire level to consider it finished. If you don't, then when you save your game, you have to start all over again. I have to admit the graphics, music and charachter comments are pretty amusing, but they do tend to get a bit boring after a while.
The graphics are cute. I like some of the noises the characters make. But, it's not very clear as to what is to be done next. It's fun if you just want to kill some time.
the boys were a little disappointed at how short the games were. Shrek especailly. The othe two Harry potter and leminy snickets the only payed for awhile then put down. the six year old read on the cover that it was 'an unpleasant ' game and refuses to play at all.
