Love this phone. Have used for about a month now. Crossing over from Blackberry to Android has taken a little time to get used to, but overall a great experience. The screen on this phone is outstanding, as well as the size of the phone and screen. Didn't think I could live without a physical qwerty keyboard, but no problems with the touch screen and swype is outstanding. Bing is not a deal breaker on this phone, although I would prefer to be able to remove verizon nav and other apps without rooting - hopefully 2.2 update or higher will come soon. Not having a led indicator was an issue at first, but using NoLed app has solved that. Batery life has been good, but I don't surf or stream a ton. I have watched .avi and listened to audio books without any problems, and haven't had to use the two spare batteries I bought. I also haven't evperienced any issues with the GPS - and have used with everytrail while hiking, and geocaching. I had a hard case on the phone, and friends told me that it was hard to hear me and I sounded funny, removed the case and the problem was solved - I had the same issue on my BB due to location of small mic. Overall I am thrilled with the phone.
Prons: super amoled screen, swype, size, speed. Cons: no led (minor with work around app), no front facing camera (again - minor), occassional issues mounting to my mac, but has only happened a couple of times, small mic on bottom of phone, slow to get Froyo update.
Overall Pros outweigh the cons in my experience. After seeing and experiencing this phone, there just wasn't another phone (droid x, incredible, evo) out there at the time that could match it and I had to have it.
I've had every kind of mobile phone since they came in a "bag". This phone is the first technology that delivers on it's promise. I was a long time Windows phone user and the Android system rocks. It was a stuggle at first to integrate the Android with my MS office, but now I am running smooth, using both. The Android is not quite there for business application compared to MS Office (Outlook), but it won't be long. I am a real estate agent, so data and communication is my business. I am amazed at the voice recognition technology and how accurate it is, even in a noisey environment. It is truely Star Trek. the one thing I am not pleased with is that Android phones are not supplied with "super user", so an owner can add and remove programs at root level. The phone I purchased was a "Verizon" phone in another life, I use Cricket. I cannot remove the "Verizon" mobile hot spot and add a third party hot spot App, without "hacking" or "rooting" the phone to add "super user". I think consumer pressure needs to be applied that when you buy a phone, you should have access to all the phones features.
This product is great. Definitely better than having a blackberry. The lcd is very sharp and the phone is amazingly thin and light.
The only bad thing about the phone is that the only way to get the screen/unlock screen is by pressing the side power button. This feature has been changed on the "charge 4g LTE" as there is buttons.
But for the price of 200 dollars without a contract, this phone is exceptional.
Great wifi, fast internet browsing (almost as fast as my laptop when connected to same internet).
1) side power button being only way to unlock phone
2) does not connect to a macbook, only a pc
3) Speaker is a little scratchy, but can get very loud
1) Fast processor
2) No lagging when sliding through widgets
3) multi-tasking task manager to end programs
4) simple to root, just look online for info --> it took me three min.
5) phone takes 20 seconds to turn on.
6) now has froyo from verizon.
7) rich Amoled display
8) big keyboard, with very fast and sensitive response time, unlike some other android
9) Fast email.
10) fast browser
11) Huge screen, definitely makes a difference from the iphone
this phone is awesome BUT in order to be awesome it has to be rooted. not hard to do at all but you must invest a little time in android forums in order to learn how to do it right. google search is your friend. few +'s to think about... FROYO!!! verizon and samsung dropped the ball hard on this one. they still havent given an update to the stock out the box fascinate. froyo's old news now that 2.3 gingerbread is out. do you think verizon or samsung will update to gingerbread in a timely manner like they did with froyo? oh yeah i forgot, still waiting for it. with rooting you can have a very very stable froyo on this phone that has adobe flash and installation of apps on sd card. TOUCHWIZ can be almost completely removed. BLOATWARE. all that annoying crap installed that you dont use can be removed. BING can be removed and changed to google for search and maps. CUSTOM ROMS and THEMES. make the phone your own. why why why would anyone want to leave this phone stock is beyond me rooting makes it so much faster. verizon cripples this phone with all the crap they put on it and with NO update service for it at all.

Excellent phone. Screen is beautiful, crystal clear, and responsive. Touch screen only keyboard is amazing, and doesn't let down in Swype or Android keyboard mode. Speaker is loud enough. Only drawback is it sometimes gets laggy for a moment, but it's not enough to take off a star(I am running at least 3 background apps at all time though!). Battery life is off the charts as well. This phone is a must buy!
Basically, a family member and his GF upgraded phones and got the android Galaxy S Fascinate. He knows I am into gadgets, and I helped him set it up. I had my iPhone next to me when I was doing the set up, and doing a comparison, I'd say this is Verizon's iPhone, however I think that the iPhone is still the best out there for AT&T unless I get a different phone and find out otherwise.
The phone has a big screen, and has a swipe text feature, which would be you'd start to type a word, it pops up with the suggestions and you swipe through them.
Social Networking, FB and Twitter are easily used on this phone. Amazing for that. I am just used to the iPhone's FB layout and I'm wondering if the FB layout on this is any different. He doesn't have an FB so I couldn't test.
A little big of a phone, def bigger then my Jest and iPhone, but you should get used to the size once using
Battery, goes down fast with touchscreen. Overall 4.5 phone
I'll keep this short and simple.
This is 10x better than the iPhone 4. The camera is better, hardware is faster, and now (as always), the software is better. The software lacked at first but now completely blows the doors off the iPhone. Not to mention GORILLA GLASS, good luck breaking this screen. Video records in 720p HIGH DEFINITION. As of now, since about 6 months ago, this phone has been the number 1 Android phone. Very shortly, by 4G and dual core phones it will be no longer the best, but it will still be on top of 95% of the phones out there. PLUS this phone is by far the best looking smartphone out there. And if you still are bent on the iPhone but HAVE to get this, well the software on this phone (days away from Froyo), resembles the structure of the iPhones menus and such, but better. So what do you get here in this package? An iPhone 4 and every other Android killer. Don't let these other people fool you if they say bad things. I'm an Android expert. By the way (with the latest software), the GPS locks on in 5 seconds or less accurate up to 1 METER, even if you are inside of a house!
This phone is similar to the I-Phone and it is easy to use. It has many features and Apps that are great to use. I love the size of the screen so it makes surfing the internet easy to see. It comes with a 16 GB Memory card which is awesome for holding my music, pictures and videos. It has everything I want and I love the white back cover. The white looks classy and clean. I would recommend this phone to everyone :)
This phone is so much fun. The SWYPE keyboard is pretty awesome. Make sure you pay attention to what you're typing though cuz it can send some pretty funky stuff if you dont.
The screen is phenomenal. People are mesmerized by the phone, thinking it's an iphone. The apps are great. Once in a while it's glitchy, a slow reaction to opening an app or something, but it's not very glitchy as far as I know. I've had it since mid-december.
Synching the contacts is still annoying though because if you have google contacts, vzn back-up assistant, and/or the sd card it will save everyone and give all of them 3 numbers (mind you they are all the same numbers). Camera quality is awesome. Highly recommend this phone.
