Just Didn't Cut It For Me...

Review For: The Recruit (DVD, 2003)

"The Recruit", starring Al Pacino and Colin Ferrell,
just released on DVD. This film is about the CIA's recruitment and
training techniques. Colin Ferrell plays a bartender who is recruited to
the CIA by Al Pacino, and faces a series of unique tests and ordeals in
order to become a full fledged agent. He finds himself in an array of
situations, and is never quite sure what is real and what is just
another test. These twists and turns are meant to kept the audience guessing
as well as the main character, I was fully aware of the movie's outcome right from the start. Perhaps I would have been more interested if the trailer had not given away so much. The movie does have some interesting moments, Colin Ferrell certainly possesses the star power to carry the movie, and Pacino is as good as ever in a lesser role, however I found the film predictable and, even though it is filled with action, a bit boring at times. The movie is uneven, wanting very badly to be a psychological thriller, yet rarely elevating beyond typical action flick. There are some minor subplots that never go anywhere which I found frustrating. The premise of the CIA's recruitment procedures is new and interesting, but there are just too many
loose ends dangling after the climax of the movie, leaving the viewer
unsatisfied.

An Aweful short Title for such a Great Movie!!!

Review For: The Recruit (DVD, 2003)

This movie totally surprises. This movie, about training in the CIA, is excellent while the title stinks to high Heaven. Loaded with twists & turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Al Pacino is as awesome as ever. Colin Farrell's acting as, "the recruit", is passionately riveting. The absolutely Beautiful, Bridgette Moynahan, as Farrell's Love interest, shows great acting ability. This movie is unforgettable & will Not disappoint!!!

The Recruit (DVD, 2003)

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
Review For: The Recruit (DVD, 2003)

I loved the pace of this movie. The series of tests that a young CIA hopefull must undergo are amazing. The constant wondering of what was a test and what wasn't kept me entertained throughout. Colin Farrell is an amazing actor who is just now starting to get more staring roles he deserves. He has stolen the scenes in virtually every movie he has been in (that I've seen anyway).
Al Pacino turns in another great performance as the mentor leading Farrell and his colleages deeper down the rabbit hole into a world of confusion and deceit. Bridgette Monyahan does a solid job in support as well.

The ending was a little trivial, and somewhat far-fetched, but overall it was still entertaining throughout.

Ryou been handle or its official. What it is true might be fake.$ well spent

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

One of my old time favorites movies , it shows not to have blind faith or been a fanatic(which only led to easily manipulation) and most of all been a good human been.Mind, physical training and a special individuals set of skill used by most of agency world wide info exposed. The kind of movie will make you doubt if it is an official operation or just been handle and framed up??An all time most seen that will make you thought about helping catching the bad guys inside the gov.A thrill to watch and adrenaline shot by two excellent actors.A seed in your brain on how the play and recruit.A picture of our weaknesses and strength.

Review For: The Recruit (DVD, 2003)

Very good CIA type of movie. great acting, plot, and alot of action. Many surprises in it. I seen part of it on T.V, and I would wait 2 and half hours to see it. Great spy movie. What I dislike is: I could not guess what was really going on. You have to buy this one. I found a movie with no F words.

Review For: The Recruit (DVD, 2003)

I love this movie !

I saw it one day on TV and thought man I would love to have it on DVD so I can always watch this thriller.

It has suspense, romance, denial, determination, and shows you what people would do for someone or something they love. How far can you go without your buttons being pushed ?

I really enjoy this movie !

Exciting plot, twist at the end isn't the generic CIA movie conclusion. Colin Farrell is always great but I loved him in this movie
