This is a nice bunch of footage from Queen shot in Montreal,CA back in the early 80's. If you're a Queen fanatic you will love this concert because they play many of their hits as well as some of their lesser known songs. The film quality is excellent and the filming was done quite well. The sound level of Brian May's guitar is a little loud at times compared to the rest of the band but I think you can overlook this and just enjoy this vintage performance. In the bonus part of the dvd there is a nice section that gives you a brief history of some of Queen's early times. There is also a neat trivia game on the dvd as well which is fun to test your knowledge of Queen or learn a little more about the band. All in all it's a very good dvd and I would rate it 4/5 stars.
Queen is one of musics' greatest rock bands. Unfortunately, with Freddie's passing, we cannot experience the band in live concert anymore. However, this DVD offers us the next best thing. Filmed in November, 1981, the band gives a stellar high energy performance sure to please the hard core or casual Queen fan. This DVD also has a biography, discography, and history of the band. Two thumbs up.
That's not one of Queen's best concerts. Not sure why they would release this particular show on DVD.
I have always enjoyed Queen's music. I have a lot of their CDs. However, I have never seen them in concert, and I always regretted not having the chance to see them. When I received the DVD I was excited about watching it.
However, when I saw the DVD I was disappointed. Their concert performance is not nearly as good as their studio performances. I found it quite boring.
For those of you who enjoy Queen's music, stick with the Cds and forget about the live performances.
This is a great live performance. Queen, led by musical genious, Freddie Mercury, shows you why it considered on of the greast rock bands of all time. Freddie's brilliance is showcased in his lyrics and musical arragement as well. Bohemian Rhapsody is the epitome of rock opera! If you have never seen this, you really should.
Excellent Show! Good recording for time period,Show Starts Real strong, then slows down, Then Picks up speed again, Roger Taylor plays excellent drums and Brian May is one of the best ever, Also great bass by John Deacon. But the best is Freddie, the best vocalist Rock and Roll has ever had.
Just as you might expect, Queen rocks it to the roof for Montreal audiences, led by superb vocals from Freddie Mercury. This concert has all the hits and then some - Somebody to Love, We Will Rock You, Killer Queen, and all the greatest number one's. This viewer was thrilled to watch the band and Mercury's live performance. Mercury is a legend, so it's worth it to see one of their live performances on DVD.
Saw Queen w/o FM and Paul Rodgers taking his place at the mic. Excellent concert and it was worth it to hear May live.
Bought this to see a glimpse of what Queen was capable of with FM. Excellent DVD with multiple angles and good sound.
Must have from someone who is not a HUGE fan, but can appreciate great musicianship and timeless songs.
The DVD is an excellent and of high quality. Some of Queen's best hits ever.
Highly recommend to anyone who likes (or loves) that band.
