The NETGEAR FS105 is very easy to use. I purchased this for my Multi-media TV. A LAN cable was available but I had to hook the TV network adapter, Media PC, Blu Ray and Xbox. The original Lan Cale hooked up to anyone of the 5 ports available, the other four connected the remaining devices. While wireless is nice for equipment on the go, nothing beats the reliability and speed of hard wire and the Netgear performance is outstanding. You wont find this to have a cheap plastic build. It is small and can be hidden out-of-sight.
Very nice unit. Easy setup (no software to configure) Highly recommended for a small office or home. Small and compact, no noise and it runs cool. On a scale of one to ten I give this unit a ten. Highly reliable. Don't be afraid to purchase one. You will be impressed by it's performance.
I bought this NetGear switch to provide additional network feeds for adding additional IP cameras for my security system. If I didn't like the product I wouldn't have purchased it in the first place, yes I like the product and there are no dislikes for this purchase. The NetGear products are generally satisfactory and I did not expect any issues at all when I purchased it. I would not have purchased any other brand as I have had excellent experiences with the NetGear. I have purchased several NetGear switches, of late and they were needed to complete my system.
Excellent switch for home network expansion. Auto configuration ports make any port the uplink port. Very easy to use to add additional LAN ports to the network.
Excellent. Simple Setup and Stellar Performance
Plug in your Ethernet cables and connect a power cord, and you're ready to go. There is no software to install or settings to configure. The switch features auto negotiation, which automatically obtains the fastest possible connection, and Auto Uplink takes care of the MDI/MDI-X connection. There are no toggle switches or special crossover cables.
I bought this product because I wanted hard-wired internet connections at home. I did not want neighbors using my connection. This product has always served perfectly. Never a problem.
Have used these for years and have found that they are very reliable. The only time I have had to replace is when they got hit by lightning. The factory replaced them under their lifetime warranty.
I was looking for a used, inexpensive network switch and this one seems well reviewed. It arrived and I hooked it up and it worked just like it should. No complaints.
Item works well, great for splitting an Ethernet cable throughout a house or small building. Very convenient no complex set up needed.
Works great however this review has the wrong pictured switch in it. It's still roughly the same switch though. Would buy more of them.
