Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs is the leader of a team of special agents belonging to the NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) Major Case Response Team. Gibbs, a former Marine, is a tough investigator and a highly skilled interrogator who relies on his gut instinct as much as evidence. Gibbs' second in command is Senior Field Agent Tony DiNozzo, a womanizing, movie-quoting former Baltimore Homicide Detective, who despite being the class clown always gets the job done. The team also consists of Officer Ziva David, a Mossad officer who is a skilled fighter, as well as Junior Field Agent Timothy McGee, a computer-savvy agent often mocked by DiNozzo. Assisting them are Abby Sciuto, the energetic-but-Goth lab tech who is like a daughter to Gibbs, and Dr. Donald Mallard, nicknamed Ducky, the eccentric medical examiner full of unusual stories. This team of elite agents, based in Washington, D.C., solve criminal cases involving Marine and Navy personnel and their families, sometimes traveling the United States - or the world - to do it.
I love NCIS and I have 2 of the other seasons on dvd. Michael Weatherly, Cote dePablo, Mark Harmon, Sean Murray, Pauley Perette, David McCallum, and Rocky Carroll are such a great cast. Anyone who watches NCIS will find a favorite character and with the season 6 finale you will be left on the edge of your seat!
NCIS is a great TV series and I thoroughly enjoyed the 6th season on DVD. Mark Harmon is perfect for the role of Gibbs. It has great stories and still weaves in the characters growth. I'm not too sure I like the changes in "Tim" however....he's less tolerant and not as funny as he was originally.
Brilliant DVD set, Mark Harmon is really good in the role of Special Agent Gibbs and if you thought Michael Waverley (Tony Dinozzo) was annoying in the other seasons, he tops it off in this one (annoying really)
I loved this product. NCIS is a great show, and the collection of season 6 is fantastic. NCIS is better that CSI or any comparable TV show. If you love mystery and action, mixed with a lot of humor and candor, you'll LOVE NCIS!
I have collected the series since it was first marketed. I love the characters and the story lines. Why not watch good television through the DVD collection when there is nothing worthwhile watching on regular TV? I'd rather look at Mark Harmon than than Vicki on the Housewives of OC!!!
NCIS is my favorite show. The characters are a family working together to solve crimes. It is fun to follow their thoughts and actions in doing their work. A lot of shows are hokey but NCIS shows how crimes can be solved and shows dedication to get criminals to pay for their actions. Mark Harmon is consistent in his character...in fact....Gibbs doesn't come across as just a character...I could see him being the representation of a real person. And Abby is great. Duckie is great at his part also. Sometimes I don't see how Tony can be so frustrating but that is part of his character and adds to the whole story and McGee fills out the rest of the 'family' to make a whole intermeshing working unit.
BEST SHOW ON TV
IF YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS SHOW YOU TRULY DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MISSING
Ncis is my favorite show, I would tell friends and family about the show. The show has action, drama in it, which make it a really good tv show. When you buy the disic set you can watch them anytime you want, it's way better than wanting for them to come on tv.
We have chosen not to have TV reception at our home and only watch DVD/VCR shows. The writers of this show are good and it keeps you wanting more. What we don't like about the show/DVD is that they are getting more worldly in accepting some acceptable to some people jokes and actions. Since we have a TV Guardian on our DVD player we can enjoy the wording of some of these actions but not the scenes themselves (nudity of main characters, bedroom scenes, etc.) Overall we enjoy this series and probably will continue to purchase each season as it becomes available.
