I bought this phone as a replacement. I had my old Motorola phone for over 3 years and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately my son threw it in the toilet and that's all she wrote. This type of phone is great, easy to text, no but dialing, fits very easily in your pocket, and I absolutely love flip phones. However this particular phone IS NOT NEW!!!! I KNOW exactly what this phone is supposed to look like, because I still have my old one! Yeah it might be new because there are no visible scratches and everything is wiped clean. To be honest it looks pretty cheap, but in overall very clean. However they messed something up when they fixed it. The backlight behind the keypad is messed up so that only the top three little circle keys are lit up. Abviously NOT new. And you can see where the keypad thing doesn't even fit completely down cuz there's light shining around the edges. Piece o crap is what they sent me.
I recently purchased this phone because I had it before and liked it. However, when I got this phone I had problems with the volume, I could not hear out of it at ALL with the volume turned all the way up. I tried different settings to try to get the volume up. I had to ask my callers to speak very loud so I could hear. Now, the phone doesn't work at all. Its frozen now, so I can not get into the menu or other features at all. I am so disappointed with this purchase to say the least. Especially since I decided to spend the extra money to get a "new phone" so I wouldn't run into any technical difficulties. It makes me so weary to purchase another one from eBay.
I purchased this phone because my original Motorola Droid once again went crazy and, was of no use to me any longer. Plus, I have always admired the Devour so, I felt it was time to explore this phone. When I first got the phone it worked great. I bought it as a never used phone. As time (1 week later) went on the phone started dropping calls. Or, if I was in a call ppl would constantly say they could not hear me. Then it reached the point where it shut off on its own(2 and half weeks in) and froze on the start-up screen. From there it was no coming back. I had to send the phone in to Motorola to get fixed. My recommendation, don't buy this phone! If you thought the original Motorola droid sucked...this phone is even worse!!! If, I could get my money back I would.....
The phone worked pretty well until this weekend when it completely died with no explanation. The Verizon dealer I took it to said that sometimes happens. I had the phone for less than 1 year, 5 months. Now I'm back to my 5+ year old LG until my contract is up.
Phone does me no good went to activate it after leaving positive feedback only to find out that it is a prepaid phone...I would never buy from this person again!
Do to programming problems, I had to return it. It was what I needed, so was disappointed that it didn't work for me. Will beonthe search again.
To be honest I bought the wrong phone. Kind of sold with the impression it was a Droid phone which I was looking for. Not enough information that I understood. So really my oun fault. disliked this phone completely. very hard to use nothing like the droid X which my son has and I have used. I could not give it away.
Okay, so I used my upgrade last February(2009) to get this phone. Needless to say, I've gone through THREE already. All replacements were because the phones "mysteriously" got the same "very rare and uncommon" problem where the phone started shutting off on it's own, locking up, then eventually resorting to just staying on the Bootloader USB init. All three started showing the same signs around the second day of receiving them.
Needless to say, I'm only letting them send me the same product over and over again because it's free. I will be getting a different phone as soon as my next upgrade comes.
