I purchased this phone because my original Motorola Droid once again went crazy and, was of no use to me any longer. Plus, I have always admired the Devour so, I felt it was time to explore this phone. When I first got the phone it worked great. I bought it as a never used phone. As time (1 week later) went on the phone started dropping calls. Or, if I was in a call ppl would constantly say they could not hear me. Then it reached the point where it shut off on its own(2 and half weeks in) and froze on the start-up screen. From there it was no coming back. I had to send the phone in to Motorola to get fixed. My recommendation, don't buy this phone! If you thought the original Motorola droid sucked...this phone is even worse!!! If, I could get my money back I would.....
The phone has a lot of good features, unfortunately it was impossible to work with it. The touchscreen went haywire and wouldn't take you where you tried to go. I don't think its a fault of the design of the phone but it was old and was not working. The slightest tap on the face by my chin when trying to talk sent it off to other apps and even hung up my call I was trying to make. Other times I could not get the phone to even turn on. When I tried to dial a number (after many tries just to get the dialer) it took me to a different number than the one I touched. It was not a good purchase even though I think the make of the phone was probably a good choice, this one didn't function properly.
I actually liked this phone just fine. I like having a slider and a small phone. I got it used (reconditioned) to fill out the rest of my contract (6 months). It worked well for 3 weeks, then completely died.
Motorola has EXCELLENT customer service. They did a lot of troubleshooting before determining that it was not worth repairing.
So if you are considering a used/reconditioned Droid 2, I wouldn't recommend it. This is NOT a reflection on a brand new Droid 2, but I doubt you could buy one of those anymore!
TRIED TO ACTIVATE PHONE AND IT WAS A STOLEN PHONE DID NOT COME WITH CHARGER... WENT TO VERIZON STORE AND SAID THE PHONE WAS ON THE NEGATIVE LIST WHICH MEAN DA MONEY I SPENT ON THE PHONE WAS BASICALLUY HANDED OVER... IT WAS A TOTAL RIP-OFF
I am on my 3rd Droid x. I still cannot send my corporate e-mail They want me to use gmail. Gmail is NOT the answer E-mail that works is. It works on all other droids but this one. also Music stops and you have to "reboot" the phone you cannot backup apps easily and when you do a hard reset it is a day before you are back to operating. the WORST PHONE EVER.. actually makes me miss my BlackBerry.
worst cell phone I owned. Terrible experience with the battery life.
I did buy this cell phone for the brand and price.
hello the phone dont work i still have it in stock the phone keep blinking all day dont work right iam trying to retur it if i can
To be honest I bought the wrong phone. Kind of sold with the impression it was a Droid phone which I was looking for. Not enough information that I understood. So really my oun fault. disliked this phone completely. very hard to use nothing like the droid X which my son has and I have used. I could not give it away.
I decided to buy this for my wife for christmas as she has no phone. I says in the title bad esn. The phone also had a bad pixel area, but I thought that was what a bad esn meant. I didn't know! I feel like I got mislead by the seller, and he would not get back to me at all. Because of him I cannot afford to buy my wife a christmas present now.
