It's a great phone if you like a bunch of apps at your fingertips. I bought the product because I like having the use of a touch screen, but also having the ease of having a keyboard. It's a sturdy phone with a very hard outside since I tend to drop my phones more than most. The camera is quick and easy to use as well, so just slip in your small SD card and there's a phone and camera right there for you.
This product tends to to delete my contacts. I don't know if it's because it's a refurbished phone. But since the phone uses my google address book, they're simple to get back if I just re-sync my contacts from my e-mail address.
All in all this phone is a good product. If you're a fan of the DROID phones, I would highly suggest this product.
Let me give you the whole experience I had with my Droid Devour. I got the device about 8 months ago, and I really worked it hard. All the apps I got on it worked it very hard, and dropped it a lot too. It finally broke with a cracked screen, and I'm now on the Casio Commando.
No issues, other than the battery. I really wish it didn't drain so much, but that is a complaint I get with my current Commando, so I don't really have any issues with that I guess.
I'd suggest buying this!
My son wanted it to learn to repair the problems with it. Like a teaching tool since it does not function to it's full potential. It is a work still in progress.
I bought this product because I needed a new phone . It was within my price range , so I decided to buy it , the phone came with a wall charger / USB and a car charger . It was a great deal and if you'll looking for a new phone that's easy to use and capable of fulfilling all of your needs the Motorola Devour is the way to go .
This phone is an overall decent purchase. The phone itself is well made and seems like it will last. Unfortunately, Motorola decided they do not want to provide updates for the phone anymore, so users will be stuck running the old droid software. it has a custom update from 1.5 to 1.6 that was made just for the devour, but it can not be updated to 2.1 or 2.2. other than that the phone works great. The battery life however usually wont last more than a day. also some newer apps on the droid market have glitches and difficulties, as they are generally made for the newer droid software.
I bought this phone to replace my wife's lost Blackberry without extending my contract and with saving the upgrade. My wife likes it and will now get a better Android phone in the future. For now, it looks good and functions well. Only has 1.6 android and no upgrades are possible. Great phone for $60.
Works great, a phone for the busy person. Has all the things you need on the go and it's easy to navigate. Great for calling, texting and emailing. Recommend this phone!
Sadly it has crippleware that keeps you from using wifi. It is a great phone design and hardware, but they just had to be dicks with strange DRM.
Bought phone as a "self trainer" for Droid network. Always used Blackberry, but like the ruggedness of the new Casio Commando. Thought I could "wizz away" $50 before contract time to experiment with Droid, so I could decide on Droid or Blackbery when contract time came around. Phone seems to work ok, signal weaker than BB but Verizon store manager says that is d/t metal casing, he learned that when he owned one.
The only thing I dont like about the phone is the battery life. It can do WAY more than I expected it to be able to do. The internet works GREAT on it.
