I have bought this product for years, I like the fact that it is waterproof and keeps ticks off. I don't think that it keeps the fleas off for a month but it still works. I live out in the country so this is the only product I will ever use on my dogs and cats. I have used other products but they don't compare to Frontline plus.
It works pretty well but like most OTC type meds, the effectiveness runs out before its time for another dose. I get this in the 3 pack or more and use one on my big dog and then dose it out to my smaller dogs as recommended by a professional. I live in the Georgia mountains and chiggars, ticks and fleas are a big problem. So I'm glad something works, because not a lot of other things do.
This is about the best you can get in my opinion. We live on a farm and fleas and ticks are abundant but this stuff really seems to work. It immediatly rid us of all the ticks. The fleas seem a little more resilient to it but it does limit them. It also works on the cats as well.I haven't seen a tick all summer but have seen a few fleas. It has a 28 day effectiveness and is waterproof right after you put it on but DO NOT wash you pet until it has dried or you will have to reapply. Also make sure you get it high on the neck of kittens and seperate them if you have more than one or they will lick each other and get foamy mouth and act drunk. They will be okay but it is a little scary. The stuff you buy at walmart or any other retail store just plain doesn't work so spend a little extra and get the good stuff,Frontline Plus for Dogs and Cats.
Nothing works as well, bottom line, and I have tried other things for years. This is immediately healing if your mutts get flea egg dermatitis and chew themselves as mine do. I have also priced this item elsewhere for years, including at Vets for Less, Amazon.com, Costco, Petco, local Animal Hospital, etc, and doing the math, I keep finding the best prices here. Ultimately, I WISH there were a natural organic approach that did the job as well. I make my own "flea buster" dog treats, I make my own flea sprays from every recipe I find, from lavender oil to orange oil to the mint oils, etc, none keep my dogs skin healthy as completely or as quickly as this does.
This is a pretty good product as we used it with a previous dog some years ago. One must be mindful to get the product down onto the skin and not the hair as it permeates throughout the dosg's body through the skin. I'd recommend it for good flea and tick control and it must be used on a regular basis for best results.
a trusted brand that is used for my dog! Although the smell and greasy part isn't so funny, I trust that it does it's job summer after summer. I see this product used alot since I am in the pet business, so I know it is well known and trusted by others. Have any any problems with ticks or fleas (thank god), so I give it A++++ ...Only the best for my dog!
I have used this product on my dog for three years. My dog is half outside and half inside most of the time. Ticks will get on her coat but they never attach.
I hate fleas! Frontline does a decent job, but you also need to purchase Top Spot to kill fleas immediately, then apply frontline to keep them off. We can launch a probe to Mars, but finding a simple solution for fleas is too hard? Please make sure to check expiration dates on flea products...it does make a difference!
My dog has been always used this product, but in my country it is a very expensive!
Frontline is the best on market of the fleas and ticks prevention!
