I like Mary Kay products, and I was needing a new foundation, so I decided to try their mineral powder foundation. I have dry skin, and it's kind of red, so I was a little concerned that it may dry out my skin and/or not cover the redness. Well, It doesn't seem to dry my skin, and it feels really soft. But, it doesn't cover so well. I HAVE to use the Mary Kay concealer first in order to be rid of the redness and have an even skin tone. Also, tends to accentuate any flaws (visible pores) that I have. I'm pretty disappointed to be honest. :( I'm going to keep playing with it; try different application brushes, etc. and see if I can't get my money's worth out of it. Fortunately I bought it for about half off because I purchased it on Ebay! On the other hand, had I purchased it for full price through an MK rep, I could get my money back or exchange it for a different type of foundation. Oh well...live and learn!
I have always like Mary Kay and trust that their products are good for my skin. I have not been able to get the shade correct so I end up mixing two shades together but it works. I recently checked into BareMinerals and realized that Mary Kay does not even begin to cover as well. I think when I my supply of MK runs out I am going to try the BareMinerals brand.
I purchased the Mary Kay Mineral Foundation with a brush and it is a very light coverage foundation. I think I picked the wrong color as it is hard to choose unless you have seen it directly. I do enjoy wearing it and will get it in a different color.
Very nice foundation powder and nice packaging aswell but I find it hard to get product out of packaging. Very light coverage
I needed this makeup however it is a little darker than I use. I will give it to my niece she has a darker complexion.
The sale went well. It's just almost impossible to choose a color on line. This color is 10 shades too dark for me. But that is no one's fault. What can you do ? Learn from it !
