This game is ok at best. It is nice that it has online features but the online lobby needs some serious work. It does not give you much reason to open other characters since there are no special weapons for each character. It is cool to be able to check your times against your friends, your region or the world and the tournaments are hit or miss. Racing with the wheel is a nice feature too but you can not pick wheel only races online so people with controllers have a small advantage, but sometimes you get all wheel rooms so again it's hit or miss. With some updates this game could be fun.
Now I had heard only positive things about Mario Kart Wii up until the time it came out. Once it came out though, I started hearing some complaints. Now of course no game can be expected to be perfect and Mario Kart Wii (from now on to be referred to as MKW) has its faults. For example, when playing multiplayer (not online) you MUST play 100CC. Another issue that perhaps is too much of a detail to be mentioned here but I can’t stand the new weapon (I don’t know its actual name) but it’s basically a cloud with a lightning bolt and unless you’re near other players, it only hurts you. Oh, and finally, the wheels were a cool idea but that stupid button on the bottom makes me accidently shoot off weapons while trying to do a trick. But to be honest, by the way I’m describing my issues it seems that overall MKW must be an amazing game, and that only these little things are issues, but that isn’t the case. I have begun to find it boring and repetitive even though there’s a whole wealth of options like battle, teams, multiplayer, and online play. I’ve had the game for about a month and honestly, I don’t play it that often but still I find myself tired of the same old races. I would prefer if as you went up from 50CC to 100CC to 150CC, new races were unlocked. I guess what I'm trying to say is, buying the game, I had high expectations, and apparently, they were too high. My advice to any would-be buyers is to either go out and rent the game first, wait until it goes down in price, or don’t expect it to blow you away; my high expectations are what ruined it for me, I only hope it doesn’t do the same for you.
Hope this helps!
This is a great game that will have you playing like crazy the first night you get it. After a little bit of time, it gets a little boring. Its a lot of the same thing and although there are many different tracks and game options, you will find that the game lacks creativity and it not much different than what you see in the commercial. Another problem that I have with it is that it takes a while to get used to steering sensitivity and by the time you have it down you are a little bored of the game. On the bright side, the game is great for playing with friends because it has a great online feature. All in all if you are looking for a bit of entertainment and you love driving games then this is the game for you. But if you are looking for a game that will blow you away then you should consider something else.
Visually, Mario Kart for the Wii is true to its name sake, however, the controls are a bit lackluster as they ultimately seem to be slightly less responsive then you would like. This game is all about playing with others, however, it is sad that you must unlock everything in single player before you can access it when your friends are over. There is a great selection of vehicles, though the differences in the vehicles are not apparent in the selection screen.
If you absolutely love mario kart and want a few new variables then get this.. I played it once and haven't played it since. Its OK but not fantastic.. the same old mario Kart pretty much thats on every other nintendo system.
When I purchased the Mario Kart for the Wii, I guess I was expecting too much because the fact of the matter is that it just seems like the same ole "Mario Kart". Maybe that's what they were going for when they manufactured Mario Kart for the Wii, but I was just expecting it to be little more upgraded from past Mario Kart games.
I would recommend it only if you are okay with the old style Mario Karts and if you do not have it on another gaming system.
The picture that he is using shows to rounded wheels for the game. What he sends is the generic racing wheel that has the flat bottom and open top. Should change the picture is reflect what is actually being sold.
product is fine, but won't be buying from ebay anymore because i can't use money orders.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
