Best camera for under $100

Review For: Kodak EASYSHARE C182 12.4 MP Digital Camera - Blue

Pros: Great picture quality, big LCD screen, loads of great features, panorama, easy to upload to popular sites such as Facebook or YouTube.

Cons: Needs more zoom power, no speakers on camera for audio in video playback, video is not as good as pictures, wrist strap installation not included in manual.

Summary: This is probably the best camera that I'm glad to shell out less than $100 for! It has true HD quality for pictures, for it's 12 megapixels. It ...

Summary: This is probably the best camera that I'm glad to shell out less than $100 for! It has true HD quality for pictures, for it's 12 megapixels. It was very easy for me to see my shots I was taking because of its visible 3" LCD screen. The features loaded are all aren't junk too. Panorama was one that I especially love. It was easy to take panorama shots because it gives you guidance through it. On the other hand, zoom is only 3x optical, and I could feel that I could extend a bit more to 5x. There are no speakers on the camera, so when you need to playback videos, you would hear nothing. You would need to connect the camera to the computer using the included USB connector to hear it. However, the video is not as great anyway with its 640x480 resolution. Also, there is no instructions to how to install the wrist strap to the camera. You would think to just slide it up to the external metal part for the wrist strap, but it would not tie on. Luckily, there are instructions on Kodak's website for it. In all, when I received this on Christmas, I was very pleased and happy.

Very pleased with product...

Review For: Kodak EASYSHARE C182 12.4 MP Digital Camera - Blue

First of all every digital camera I have owned which to be honest this is only my 3rd one has been a Kodak Easy Share. They are just so very easy to learn to use and simple with no hassles of a bunch of tension and stress over how to figure out how to use it. Anyway my last one I accidentally dropped it and unfortunately it would have to hit the kitchen floor which was tile of course and busted the screen on front so....there that went. Well that was a C180 10 megapixels and I bought it a few years ago at WalMart. Very good camera and served its purpose but now that I bought this one oh yes and for about more than 1/2 less the price too I am just so excited and happy I was able to find one on E Bay that fit exactly what I was looking for ... I surely would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an easy to use digital camera (no muss, no fuss) and the quality of pics are beautiful.

Kodak Easyshare C182

Review For: Kodak EASYSHARE C182 12.4 MP Digital Camera - Blue

I love this camera. There are a few draw backs, one of which is it's general size. I've had cheap cameras, yes, but they were all small, and skinny, and fit comfortably in my pocket, this one has a little bulk to it.
It also eats batteries like I eat chocolate. I put two brand new Double A's in, and within the hour it seems, I'm having to change out for new ones, so I'll be buying some rechargeable batteries soon.
It makes an interesting noise all the time, like a slight buzzing or whirring sound. And there's a slight delay in time between taking pictures where it pauses for a moment as if to catch its breath before you shoot another picture.
I needed to put my memory chip in it fast, after about 5 pictures internal memory was full, the memory chip holder is inside the battery compartment, which threw me, but is a good thing, that way its more protected I think.

The camera has loads of options, I havent even gotten them all figured out yet, Theres like 20 settings for special shots, and then two different ones for general pictures. I feel almost like I have a professional camera or something.
Video is awesome, the picture comes in pretty clear, and the audio is perfect. The pictures are clear and sharp with every shot, I could even let my mother take pictures with this and she's never shot a clear picture in her life.

I dont know much about cameras, but I do know that for the quality of photos this camera takes, I'll gladly put up with all it's little quirks, sounds, and battery appetite, and I think that it would be an especially good camera for beginner photographers (Such as myself) right up to master, because theres nothing better than a quick camera you can whip out and flash a picture with.
In my opinion for the price, it's an excellent buy.

Great Refurbished Camera

Review For: Kodak EASYSHARE C182 12.4 MP Digital Camera - Blue

I purchased this camera because it had a small footprint , easy to hold and 12 megapixel. Being refurbished, the known problems are repaired. Kodak build great cameras. This camera is easy to use, just let the camera work for you and it will take great pictures. In one mode in wide screen, 9 megapixel mode takes great pictures and the pictures are very crisp.

It has many modes and one of my favorites is stable picture or if you have a shaky hand this will take the blur out and give you a crisp picture.

Another great feature that I like is the button on top of the camera. It lets you select different flash settings including OFF.

I bought this camera to put in my pocket to carry on short trips when I didn't want to use my digital name brand SLR. I just pull it out and point and shoot. Has some nice feature such as panoramic mode , great for shooting scenery.

In movie mode and I have a 2gb card installed it will take about 30 minutes of video with sound, great for a small camera.

Kodak Software is easy to use with a MAC or PC.

I Use rechargeable batteries in this camera and battery usage is very minimal despite the LCD screen is on and it is the viewfinder.

As far as I'm concerned the only fault with this camera is no remote, it does however have a timer to take a group picture.
