I've seen this movie countless times, as well as SUSPIRIA (first of the trilogy), and MOTHER OF TEARS-the third mother (the newest, and very appropriate final installment).
Inferno (1980) is a fantastic example of Dario Argento's '70's era flair for style in horror, while still retaining the scare factor, and gore factor. A visual treat, with a story that ties it to the previous masterwork SUSPIRIA. It moves a bit slower than both of the other movies, but that is made up for with the entire creepiness, and atmosphere the movie gives the viewer.
Highly recommended for any horror fan. A must have for the Argento fan.
Beautiful camera work. Suspense to the Nth degree. Nice amount of gore factor, too. An excellent installment in the "Three Mothers" trilogy.
