This phone is by far the best Ive seen or had. It's processing speed and capabilities are extremely fast and enough memory to run lots of programs at once. I've set it next to iPhone 3gs and iphone4 and neither loaded a program or web page faster, and that was before I turned on the 4g. The camera takes 8 mega pixel photos so you've always got a good camera on hand which is always nice as well. The wireless tether slows me to use internet from my phone anywhere I go on my laptop and with great speed.

Great phone, look into the features and details.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

So this phone is pretty good once you get use to it, if your not use to andriod (this is my first andriod). Overall the features of the phone is great, the only thing I do not like is the fact that I can not remove any of the att apps unless i root the phone (not interested in right now). I did buy this phone to because I had a sucky sony phone and I was interested in the 4G, which is great. The battery on this phone isn't that great, its a 1250 mah which should have been a 1500 mah. So for those who use a lot of apps, text, take pics, and talk should consider getting a 1800 mah bettery. Don't know why HTC would make this product after the evo without a front facing camera, than make the sensation with one. But att doesn't even get some of the best phones anyway. The screen is give enough to text if you think you have big fingers, I know I do (way bigger than a black berry)

PROS: 4G, 4.3 screen, lots of apps and more, HTC sense, text, camera, wifi and more.

CONS: no front facing camera (didn't know until i bought the phone), battery (1250 mah), hate those att apps, and the battery and sim/ sd card slot are hard to open (may think you'll break it, but won't).

Best Andriod Phone and Best Sprint Phone PERIOD!

The Sprint HTC EVO 4G phone is definitely the best phone I've ever used. I've used every Sprint HTC phone that they have ever provided from windows to android versions, and this is by far the best. It exceeds other competitors phones like the Iphone.

First of all, the phone has a large screen. No other phone except the Driod X can compete with the screen size. Well, there is the HD2, but that's running on windows base os and is horrible. Second of all, it had 2 cameras, front and back. It has 4G capabilities where most phones don't.

Android on the other hand compliments this phone very well. We get free navigation, where Iphone don't. We have much more free apps that we don't need to pay for. Also the phone is more powerful and can do things that the Iphone can't, unless jailbroken.

Speaking of jailbreaking, our phones can be jailbroken/rooted. After doing so, you can expand the capablities of the phone. I've installed custom roms, custom layouts and skins. I've also done extensive battery tweaking with kernels and updated the software to the newest builds of android 2.2. No need to wait for sprint to update the software. Also my phone is much faster than stock and battery last over 30 hrs per charge because i've rooted the phone and installed custom software.

Get this phone. Definitely would not let you down.

Awesome device!

In general I think Android phones are incredible.
I have had hands on experiences with HTC and Motorola smartphones. Cannot speak bad of any of them.
I went for an HTC Evo because of it front facing camera. The 8Mpx camera takes incredible pictures, even better ones than my digital camera.
Would recommend this phone always.
Of course battery duration is a problem but all smartphones suffer from that.

HTC Evo Review

i absoultly love this phone. by far the best phone i have ever had. i had the palm pixi before i bought the evo and it was a great switch. the evo is one of the fastest phones i have ever held it is a little big but depending who you are you might love it. i love the size it is easy to use. it is very user friendly and easy to learn how to operate around. one negitive is, which is with all droid phones, it cant delete texts over 600 messages in one thread. iv had to restart my phone to factory settings to have it work again. but there is a setting that will automaticlly delete at what you want it set as. overall this is an amazing phone great camera great video. the battery life is average. i can get a about 14hrs out of it but thats not extreamly heavy use. when i make alot of calls and texts it will die in about 9. but iv had phones that die after making 1 phone call so it doesnt effect my view about it. batterys are cheap for the phone when you buy from ebay or other websites so dont let that effect your choice. this phone is amazing and wont let you down. its a must have

I'm officially in heaven.

The HTC Evo 4G is one of the best phones ever manufactured by HTC for Sprint. It combines some of the latest technologies with the fundamental necessities people need in order to create a robust and powerful smartphone able to stand toe-to-toe with the likes of Motorola's Droid X or Apple's iPhone 4. From an 8MP camera with LED flash on the back, to its 1.3MP camera on the front for possible self-portraits or video conferencing, to its 1Ghz Snapdragon processor...the list goes on and one.

The point I'm trying to make here is that the phone is already great. Couple it with a great service like Sprint and throw in 4G, and it's clear that HTC is and will be standing tall from here on out.

awesome phone

It is been 3 weeks i am using this phone. I am so happy after choosing this phone for my everyday tasks and android has great market apps. best quality camera, video, browsing experience is fast and flash support. Only one thing is that it eats battery a lot, but overall EVO is best phone i have ever used.

OWN ONE. Read below for specific details as to WHY you should....

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

This phone is aboslutely AMAZING once unlocked and rooted.

*** For you to consider: ***

The phone was originally criticized for its high energy consumption, which results in lower battery life, this was virtually the only negative aspect of the phone.
HTC has tried to resolve this by including options that lower energy consumption, but this greatly reduces performance of the phone, thus limiting it.

Rooting the phone allows access and improved functionality, which unleashes the true hardware capability of the phone. I currently have the Android Revolution 5.1.7 custom ROM installed, which improves battery life extensively, general speed, and has fixed several major bugs. For more information, refer to the online forums on XDA-Developers.

*** Why this phone stands out: ***

This phone is not for the light user, it has everything you need for great visual & audio pleasure. It runs every application on the Android Market smoothly. It has fast mobile data speed (although not 4G capable, it is 3G/HSPA/LTE ready), thus making this phone ideal for AT&T (in the States) and Rogers (in Canada). It has GPS, and other premium functions to make it literally a handheld PC.

The strong point of this phone is that it has a large multitouch SLCD screen. It can also be fully customized, and tweaked (even with simple Android Market Apps) to make it perform at the TOP OF THE LINE for Android smartphones. Any enthusiast of technology and gadgets WOULD recommend this phone, it is highly prized and to a great extent: Unique.

Try owning this smartphone and you will not be disapointed.
The price, the features, the look, everything, all in the palm of your hands.

Finally: If you don't know how to unlock/root this phone; find one that is being sold unlocked+rooted. There are many resources out there. I promise.

A Excellent Phone for a very low price!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Is a single (very powerfull) core, is to be expected to comsume the battery very quick if is running all the apps and the internet and mail, etc, the camera is really good even on the night light, the screen is huge so you can really enjoy all the movies and the internet browsing and the screen is very sensitive but not to the point that really botters, wifi signal is good, the at&t hot spot is really bad if you are not on the At&t network it blocks you from using it, really fast on games like the GTA3 and very cheap for the power that you get.
