Great Printer, dont know why people are angry bout it

This is one heck of a printer.
I got the 3650 as a bundled package with my compaq about 2 years ago. In that time, i have only replaced the ink once, and yes, i am a student, that writed long papes, etc. Anyways aside from being extremely ink savvy, this printer has many other great qualities.
This Printer is precise, it prints super vivid pictures on whatever paper you want, disc labels, photo paper, office paper, lined paper, etc... any paper you feed this, and it wont let you down.
I have not been known as the most dainty person when it comes to technology i intend to keep, I can't count on all my fingers how many times i have dropped this off my desk, and what does it do? It keeps chugging right along, churning out papers and pictured like there is no tomorrow.
My parents still have an old 842c, and they were blown away when i lent the 3650 to my dad to print his taxes on(this is when the black ink ran out :)). He said it did it twice as fast as the 842c, which i completely believe.
In terms of installing the printer, it is quite easy to master the installation, it is plug and play which means all you do is plug it in (given your computer is recent).
As mentioned in another review, you do not get the usb cable in the box, but that is nothing against this printer, its the same way with every printer you buy today. Here is a suggestion for the coard, if you got DSL, then your modem came with this cord, if your using it switch to ethernet then use the usb cord for the printer. If you don't have dsl the best option is to run over to your local CVS, walgreens, or other pharmacy and check for cables there, just the otherday i saw a 10 foot cable for 7 dollars, what a deal!.
In the last two years, i have built or bought two new computers, a new desktop installation, 2 new gb of ram, a new monitor, and two new video cards, the one thing that remains the same is my printer, it is perfect for what i do, and can do whatever i want.

All in all,
this is an amazing piece of machinery that will never let you down, definately worth the money!

HP DeskJet 3650 InkJet Printer Review

I purchased my first HP DeskJet 3650 InkJet Printer about six years ago. It produced clear, sharp, professional looking documents. The color was true and vibrant. I was able to buy replacement cartridges at good prices on eBay. But then, a few months ago, we had an electrical storm that zapped my printer and I was sad to see it go. I decided I wanted another one just like it but it was no longer being produced by HP. Solution: buy another on eBay! I was happy to find several listings and picked one with a reasonable "buy it now" price with free shipping included! This also allowed me to use the remainding ink cartridges from my old printer. I also like it's slim design as I use my printer with my laptop and store it on the lower shelf of the end table next to my easy chair. I recommend this printer to everyone.Read full review...

The printer couldn't serve my purpose for what i intended to use it for.

The HP Deskjet 3650 standard Inkjet printer do not have features for printing photos which is what I wanted, so I declined the offer. However, the mobile Dj set and wireless mics are of high standard and I love it. It is very easy to move around.Read full review...

Do not buy this printer!

I received this printer bundled with a compaq computer several years ago. It worked great out of the box but within a couple weeks had horizontal lines through the color prints. I thoroughly cleaned and aligned it and it worked for a week before the print looked like crap again. I now use this printer only for black text, which it does fine. I use a photosmart 8450 for color which absolutely kills this printer in performance. Also, the ink-level reporting system is very inaccurate. After it says my cartridge is empty, I could usually print another month before I need to change the cartridge. Save yourself the trouble and do not buy this printer!Read full review...

The little printer that could (And still does)

This was the first printer I bought, 9 years ago. Still going strong. I've had 5 computers (including a mac), but have never had to replace my printer. I lost the installation disc, so i haven't been able to use it with my current laptop, which I've only had a couple months. Hewlett Deskjet 3650 printer

I have 4 differnt printers. This one I like the best it is easy to use, prints nice and usualy never has any problems with it printing. I will order more.

I really enjoy tbe speed and quality of this little printer. It has been durable and "takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'" - while still producing excellent color prints!

Printer ink refills by pre manufactured cartridge holes

The ink cartridges has tape over holes, just peel off and refill. Get ink only made for these cartridges, not basic re fills. Printer runs nice and prints nice.
