Its okay, good to play

I don't really like that it was really short.. there is only 31 songs in the career finished it in 3 or 4 hours.. was really fun though, I unlocked joe perry in the campaign but for some reason its not unlocked in vs. mode.. the guitars work 100%, they're easy to use, I'll have to admit though playing for 4 straight hours really hurts your hands :) so take it easy! playing it is a load of fun and this being my first Guitar Hero game, coming with 2 controllers really makes it a good buy for the price! I played all the way with medium and from the first to the last song its progressive.. difficulty wise, so like it starts easy and at the end is rather hard.. even on medium! so, really a great buy just, too short for me I'd rather have the game with tons more songs than just 31, but thats just me.. otherwise its excellent so I gave it excellent :)

I love Aerosmith & Guitar Hero 3!

Guitar Hero 3: Aerosmith is the first expansion game for the Guitar Hero 3 franchise for the Nintendo Wii. It was released June 29th, 2008 by Activision.

The game follows the same principle as Guitar Hero 3. The only difference is that you are playing basically as Aerosmith! You start off by watching a neat cartoon video showing the life story of Aerosmith. As you play the game you get to watch neat video's before each stage that show members of Aerosmith talk about the significance of the stage that you are about to play!

Each "gig" or section starts off with you playing two songs that Aerosmith selected from each time frame. The two songs are from celebrated artists that the band has either performed with or has been inspired by in some way.

You also get to play venues from historical moments during the band's illustrious career offer the experience of "sweet emotion" and further capture the essence of the band’s rise to fame. So you get to play Kansas City's in New York, and the high school where Aerosmith first played!

The cartoon characterization of Aerosmith is done well on the Wii. Tyler actually looks good! LoL. :)

Song Selection:

A great selection from the entire Aerosmith library. Awesome tracks!

Very similar to Guitar Hero 3 for Wii. Nothing really new. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. ;)

The only complaint is the number of "covers" of the favorite songs before you get to play the Aerosmith songs.

As an Aerosmith fan I give this a 5/5!

One of the best games of the decade. I would own it and play it daily!!

I absolutely LOVE Aerosmith! And, as a video game goes this one is tops, it gives an almost complete musical history of the band, with lots of tidbits of information about the band from the band member's perspective, with Live Interviews and in the Green room interviews from Steven, Joe and the crew. The game has all the greatest music one could ever hope for, and some of course music I hate, but thats how music is.
The game has great, fast paced note changes, even on easy level and the career mode really is the best challenge.
I love this game!!

I love Aerosmith and this game is just awesome! You get to play great songs from great bands, not to mention you get to perform as the legendary Joe Perry while rocking out as a part of Aerosmith!! If you are an Aerosmith fan you'll love this game. Rock on!

Totally addicted to Guitar Hero: Aerosmith

I am totally addicted to this game! Love the songs, I've already beat the game on easy and now working on the medium level. Lots of great songs and so much fun. Love the Run DMC bit, lots of cool cover band songs too. I skipped thru the Aerosmith interviews because I was so anxious to play. I totally "wussed out" on the guitar battle challenge. Even on easy it was way too hard for me. Hate that it actually says that I "wussed out" on that part on my "career". Guess I have to just keep practicing. :)My hands are all cramped up because I just can't put this thing down! Like that the songs are mostly edited so my kids don't hear any 4 letter words while I'm playing.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith(Game & Guitar Bundle-PS2)

I love this game! It took some time to warm up to it only because i've only been playing guitar hero 3 for the past year and i've gotten used to those songs. but im starting to like these songs. and its just great having some new songs to jam to. One thing that kind of gets on my nerves is the videos in between the different levels. I liked the cartoons from GH3 better than these. They're like clips of aerosmith talking about the old band days. Would be much better if i was like a die hard aerosmith fan. But its ok. other than that, love the game! :)

coming at you , going strong Guitar Hero lives on

After purchasing the original Guitar Hero for my kids, I knew the only way to make it better was to add more music. Aerosmith rocks the house! No complaints here, only a house full of tunes and a bunch of kids that are really having FUN, with a capital Fantastic. Hand eye coordination definitely improves with this particular activity, and you have a rocking good time to boot. Every age group can enjoy this game, from the toddler (that dances along to the tunes while watching big sister strum the Gibson) to the old retiree (just happy to have enough eye sight and hearing to enjoy the grandkids playing the tunes). Teens through the college age youngsters have the most fun and have the greatest ability to play this fast paced and taxing game. Talent is a must, ambitions a plus, and sheer guts make each and everyone out there, a true Rockin'and Rolling superstar!
The game is well developed and the hardware is refined and robust enough for the hardest handler. Please, do not pass up this gem. Your kids will love you for it.

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (Wii)

I have Guitar Hero III and this Aerosmith version. I like them both, but love the Aerosmith version even more. You are the opening act for 2 songs at each venue for two cover songs from other bands and after that you get to be Aerosmith and play several of their songs at that venue. It is very similar to Guitar Hero III in play and menu screens. You have the same characters to choose from, but can also earn the members(guitar and bass players) of Aerosmith, Run DMC and maybe another person. There are not as many extra songs available in this game to purchase as there are in Guitar Hero III.
