One of the best movies that I have seen in years. Character and
plot driven rather than gimmicks and computer generated game-like scenes like most movies today. Of course, I am a fan having read all three books, seen this movie at the theater and just bought all three Swedish releases a couple of days ago. Rooney Mara, Daniel Craig, Christopher Plummer and Skarsgard were all great, as were other actors.
I don't usually watch movies or read books more than once; however, I plan to with these.
A very mature movie; not for prudes (Banned in India--their loss).
Like a realistic James Bond type of movie; not the boring repetitive pablum those movies became.
If I lost this movie, I would have to buy another copy. Even my friends who saw it with me at the movies wanted to see it again, you just don't get all you want from the first time. Many of the scenes are so good you just want to see them again to catch more of the nuances of the the scenes and the acting.
The first movie I have seen in awhile with some meat to it; the books too.
I was so bored with the first Lord of the Rings movie I wished at the time that I had left after the first hour, nothing new was forthcoming in the second, long, long hour. It was like watching someone play a Mario game; I even predicted in my mind several scenes, like, I'll bet they will be going through a cave next, or through the snow, or down a long river, and another attack by the same guys.......I wished for my money back from that one. I never bothered with the sequels, though I heard they were much better. I felt the same about the Twilight series, and I love True Blood and vampire themes generally. I had really liked Kristen Stewart's earlier movies and feel sad for her, though I am sure she is making big bucks for it.
By comparison The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo had some real mystery to it and some real plot twists and real surprises. Notice the word "real" as opposed to boring and contrived.
While, maybe not earth shaking, at least interesting.
OK 3 disk series. Not great, but OK. American movie much better acting and continuity. Subtitles didn't help and english dubbing didn't help. Lets just say it was interesting.
This was a great film. Great cast, great story. David Fincher did well withe the source material and Rooney Mara was amazing. The Blu-ray disc hash great picture and sound. It's loaded with bonus features and worth purchasing. Highly recommended!!
i personally love this movie so much.
i watched this movie in the theater two times and bought the DVD when it was released.
Rooney Mara's Lizbeth Salander was a very captivating character. I also read the book.
Rooney portraited Lisbeth perfectly.
WON'T REGRET YOUR MONEY AND TIME!
Didn't see the movie in the theater. Didn't think I'd like it. I watched it on DirecTV's free Starz weekend and it became one of my favorites. I can't wait to see the next two movies in the series. Rooney Mara was great - she should have won the Oscar for Best Actress.
I had read the book so I was eager to see it depicted on screen. I watched it on my laptop so I could pause it and see the minute details. The movie sticks pretty closely to the original story, other than the ending. I appreciated the twist at the end. Mara Rooney does an incredible job portraying Lisbeth. I made my husband watch it with me a second time. He even enjoyed it, and he is primarily a sports fanatic!
This was a very well done movie. It was extremely faithful to the book. There were really no slow moments, keeping you interested throughout. Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig were great.
Incredible Film , Opening Credits Are The Best I Have Ever Seen, Rooney Is Incredible, The Story Fabulous, Goth Chick , Rough Sex, A Stellar Cast All Excellent
This is a awesome movie, no matter how many times ive seen this i still love it. its suspenseful from beginning to the very end. Both Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig portrays their character very accurate.
I became a instant fan of Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig after this movie, hopefully you will too.
I thought the movie was very interesting, certainly not for young children under the age of 18 there were scenes that were explicit. Overall the movie was very good. The ending was a surprise and would not give it away it is worth watching for Adults.
