I told myself I would never buy a GPS receiver because I'm good at directions and don't really trust these things. One night I found myself in a strange area following the detour from a closed freeway, it took me awhile to get my bearings and found my way home. That week I decided I'd need the GPS for emergency. I'm not a Techie so I researched the internet and Ebay for the most user friendly, reliable model, and at a modest price. The Garmin nuvi 260W is just as I wanted, screen is easy to read and the menu is simple and easy to use, open the box and it's ready to use. I've used it a few times and so far so good, I took an extended warranty from Square Trade just in case, hope don't have to use it.
Love this. We have a car that has nav. This is far easier to use! Love it. Took it to Michigan to get from Gerald Ford International Airport to a home in hilly, wooded Traverse City. I went door to door easily! Next, we took it to AZ. Airport to house doorstep was a snap! Very very easy to use even if you never had one of these before. Simple! You won't regret buying it. It is one of the handiest, easiest, most portable travel items we own. We would buy it again! We regret now buying one before. Good for senior citizen that do not have a navigation system or anyone with an older car that needs one of these. Very reasonable cost a for what you get.
As a new driver, I want to pay attention to the road and at the same time not get lost and have to worry about where I am headed. After careful and extensive research I decided to purchase this item because I felt that it would be the best choice for me. It calls out directions so that I never have to take my eyes off the road. There are a lot of other customizations, I can add favorite places and search nearby restaurants, convenience stores, gas stations and more.
The only downside is that when searching for a particular address of a friend's house, it may not have it if it is new place. In these cases, I just set it to go to a nearby location and follow from there and then save it as a favorite after I tell the GPS to let me know where I'm at.
Another minor annoyance is that the GPS tells me directions that aren't clear (it tells me to turn but no turning point is ahead) but it updates as soon as the location is about to approach so that isn't too much of a problem unless I am in heavy traffic. That is the only annoying thing I find about the device.
I love how if I make a wrong turn, which is usually impossible to do because it reminds you twice, it automatically recalculates your route. Before, I used to use the navagatior feature on my cell phone, but this is way better. The battery seems to run out quickly, but maybe because I purchased mine used it doesn't run as long.
This item is great. I bought it because of previous reviews on ebay and those reviewers were right on! It is easy and fun to use. We look forward to using it when we travel across the country and back in the spring. It will help us find restaurants, hotels, gas stations, car repair, anything we might need. We do laugh when we go a different direction than the gps tells us to go. It almost sounds like the lady is annoyed with you when she says she is recalculating.
My name is Fernando (violin and manager of Mariachi Buen Tiempo 651 4269935).. We play a combination of old and new repertoire including sones, rancheras, huapangos, cumbias, as well as some pop favorites and international hits as far back as the 50's. We let the client decide if we play on stage or stroll from table to table and take requests. We are talented young musicians with great voices and instruments. Violin, Guitarron and Viehuela. We will dress with Mariachi gala outfit or we will dress with tropical guayabera if it is really hot and humid and the client does not mind.
As far as the price , we charge always $300 for the first hour and
$150 for any additional hour,
For 1.5 hours we charge $400
The traveling expense @$25per hr/ea , no charge in the metro area.
We are looking forward to entertain your guests. Let me know how long do you want us to play.

I LOVE my Garmin! It was used but in perfect working condition. As this would be my first GPS unit, I researched what brand/model I wanted then went looking on Ebay. Found just what I wanted. It lives up to all the positive reviews I found about it.
It's easy to program and easy to operate. So far, it has not failed to get me where I want to go. I have used it both on car power and battery power. A fully charged battery does not last quite as long as projected, but plenty of time to get me where I need to go.
I would recommend the Garmin Nuvi 260W for any neophyte GPS user.
I like the features. Has the standard gps tracking, tells you the turn is coming up and says the street names. It has any local attractions you would ever like to find. It has the options of changing the voice.
Comes with a touch screen, easy to menus. Very much user friendly.
I highly recommend this product. Price was great. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Garmin's nüvi 260 combines the thinprofile and attractive price point of other nüvi 200-series GPS with directions in real street names. As with all nüvis, you get Garmin reliability, the fast satellite lock of a high-sensitivity integrated receiver, a slim, pocket-sized navigator with a gorgeous display, detailed NAVTEQ maps that lets you search by name for more than 6 million points of interest like stores, restaurants or hospitals, and an easy, intuitive interface
I owned a top[of the-line Garmin Nuvi before this one, and loved it until the screen died. I swore I wouldn't get another one since it had lasted less than two years. I tried a different brand and hated it, so went back to Garmin and found this one at a great price. About the same as what it would have cost me to have ny old one refurbished. This time I took out an extended warranty through SquareTrade. This one doesn't have all the bells and whistles like my original, but does everything it needs to do and is very user friendly. After trying a cheap substitute, I realized that Garmin is the only way to go. I drive a noisy diesel, and the voice quality is so much better on a Garmin than other models, that, for that readon alone, I would recommend it.
Simple to use, good graphics, gets me where I need/want to go! I had talked to a number of people and sampled this particular unit. I found it quite easy to use and perfect for my needs. Affordable and functional. The only thing I wish it had was more of a glare-free screen. As with all of these units I suppose, when the light hits it just right, it's hard to see.
