Very simple to use navigator. Moderate price of around 100 USD. Does the job. I recommend this device to everyone, who would like to buy a gps receiver for navigation purposes only.
i bought this product cause my wife always gets lost. i really like how simple it was to set up i didn't like that you have to enter address number separate then city but it takes a little getting used to overall its a great buy for the price!
I wanted a small easy to carry GPS system That didn't cost to much and would fit in my shirt pocket. I looked at a lot of Garmin GPS systems and decided to try the Nuvi 205. It seemed to have all the things I was looking for in a GPS system and the hook up semed to be easy enough. In the using this is a very easy system for getting you there and back. The short fall is in the battery it runs out quick it seems when using it a foot. When hooked into the car it seems to work fine. There are a lot of things that it can do that I just don't use myself. The music the cell phone hook up and a lot of other things I just don't need. Over all it is a good buy and if it should be stolen I am not out a lot of money. M.Celtic
The Garmin 205 is the very nice GPS with the speed limit indicator on it. Does not speak the street names but does tell you to turn right at the next street. I like it becase it's very small in size and large in features. Nice unit to put in glove box for when you need it. Over all rateing 9.5/10
We needed a second GPS and did not want to pay for a new one.
I like the simplicity of use. We had to get used to it after having used another brand, however, I look forward to using it now. It does an excellent job. I have found the On/Off switch somewhat problematic. The one switch has three functions and getting them right with a stiff button is sometimes a problem.
Our other GPS is a TomTom. Both are really easy to use, but the TomTom works better for us in selecting an alternate route or locating Points of Interest. Maybe it is all in what you get used to. We are happy with our buy and would do it again.
There are better GPS units but for the money and included features, its hard to beat this model. It will do the job intended with real ease and few mistakes. I say few because there are always going to be some either from the unit, your programmed features or your inputs.Be careful in choosing faster versus closer routes, it does make a difference in what route you receive. You need to have a fair idea of where you want to go and how to get there as this might take you a different way but they are invaluable for finding a strange location you have never heard of before or for planning different routes on garage sale day. The best advice is to play with all the features it has until you learn which does what and then keep and use the ones most advantageous to your needs. Please read my guides for more info on particular features and what you might need and take a moment to vote either way. Thanks

I really like the Nuvi 205. It does a great job of getting me to my destinations. I have used it on sevaral road trips now. The only problems have been in not getting to exactly the right place once in WV and once in SLC, UT, it could not navigate the grid. The addresses in SLC are xxxx W XXXX N where W and N can be West, North or East, South and the Nuvi can't figure it out. Usually it puts up several choices and let's you pick the correct combination, but occasionally it simply can't figure it out. But since it's all a grid you can pick a nearby intersection and then you just have to find it your self from there. All in all I think it is a great device, but don't trust the points of interest to all be accurate, it seems that many of the businesses listed are out of date, i.e. many not listed and many no longer in business.
I bought the Garmin nuvi 205 Car GPS Receiver for my mother for Christmas. She isn't very tech savy but she has been using the device with ease. It was purchased brand new and delivered on time as promised. So far we have no complaints on the product!
The Garmin nuvi 205 is very user friendly and seamless. The interface is clear and does what you want it to do. The piano black version is very sleek and modern looking. Excellent product but shipping took a little long.
Bad for entering destinations. It lets you enter an address letter by letter, but it advances guesses and you cannot go back if the guess is wrong. It sometimes makes it impossible to search for an address. This particular thing is the only VERY BAD feature of this otherwise valuable product.
