Good deal for repair!

The printer did not print when it arrived. I did a complete review and flushing the ink jets to make them operational. Printer is working now and functions well after some tlc.

You can do better than this; buy an XP-420 instead

Sorry, but this one's a dog. No problem with the seller or the transaction; I bought this to replace one of two that I have here in my home office/business. My wife has one, I have the other - for non critical printing, scanning, etc.

The problem with this has always been the inkflow & the printing quality. After a while, my old version of this just wouldn't print or pass-through any magenta ink; after trying every trick in the book; flushing the heads, cleaning solution, new cartridges, old cartridges, remanufactured and/or new factory stock. Although I mostly use it for B&W stuff, I still color for various things.

After a certain point, why bother with spending so much time on a $75 printer, eh? So, I bought a new "old stock" version for $49, thinking, it's got to be better than my junker, and I'll just replace it outright.... After unpacking & setting it up, SAME PROBLEM. Ran all the cleaning and cartridge replacement routines (all with new cartridges) and no luck. Fool me once....

Don't get me wrong, I like Epson products, and I have many other printers for more serious work. But for what I needed, I just went to Staples and bought their newer version of this - the XP-420, and I'm DONE. Prints perfectly, no muss, no fuss. And when it gets bad, if I can't get it cleaned & working properly, I'll just move on again, instead of wasting so much precious time with this dog of a printer.

To be fair, my wife's NX-415 is still running ok, (after I cleaned the hell out of the heads) and she's got all our spare cartridges now. But as soon as it acts up, it's gone.

Sorry Epson, you can't win 'em all!

Excellent value, quick print!

I needed a non-wireless, cheap printer/copier with a top that could be used for scanning and copying small items such as receipts. I bought this Epson NX415 for under $60 brand new.

I have done a fair amount of basic copying and printing in color and black and white and find it easy to set up and to use and able to produce good copies. I am not going to print many pictures from it, but the ability to read and print photos directly from a memory card or camera is a definite plus.

I purchased a few non-OEM print cartridges for under $9 when I inevitably run out of ink, but we'll see how they work when the time comes... I don't believe the cost of ink is going to be as high as the Lexmark all-in-one that I had previously.

The only even small drawback is that it DID NOT COME WITH A USB cable. Why can't they include something so necessary??! It was extremely cheap to buy one on line, but a bit of a pain not to be able to print for several days from my laptop. Once received, the printer software setup was incredibly simple.

All in all exactly what I am looking for!

A lot of printer for the money.

I bought my Epson NX415 printer a few weeks ago and found it easy to set up and use. I had to copy some old pictures I found and it worked great, made the old pictures look like new. It's my 3rd Epson printer and I wouldn't recommend any other brand. It is the luxury printer of all the other brands. The only thing I can say that I don't like is the price and the usage of the print cartridges. I wish that Epson would come out with a less expensive generic brand of ink cartridges, similiar to Canon ink cartridges.Read full review...

Epson NX415 Printer

Had no trouble so far. Prints are excellent quality as well as copies. Speed is pretty good. Haven't tried photos, but really don't use printer for this purpose. Ink levels still show high levels after maybe 30-40 pages of text jobs. Still early in the game, but good so far. Not sure if ink usage and price to replace will be an issue. For the price I think this was an excellent deal.Read full review...

Best Printer on the market

Review Title: Inexpensive Printer for the features, but very easy to use

Review:
I bought the Espon NX415 one week ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this epson printer. It has a very good lifespan. Other printer I've owned don't have the featuresthat this printer has and very easily to use. Overall, I'd recommend this printer if you're on a budget.Read full review...

One great bargain printer combo!!

The Epson line of printers is usually a good buy and this one is another of a quality line.

It has individual 3 color and 1 black ink modules which are offered at a GOOD price online unlike some other brands. It's software is easily installed.

A good printer which also has a great scanner as a bonus!!!

The color is fabulous, the black is rich, the scans are accurate!! What more could you want?? Read further!!!!!!

I paid $68 with free shipping on eBay which is almost the cost of replacement ink for a few other brands!!

Love it prints better than expected, quiet too.

I don't understand all the negativism about ink usage. I've had mine one month now and still the Black showing 3/4 full and 1/2" full on the colors. I will swith to refillable cartridges when these need refilling. I originally had an EPSON C120 and it's behaving much better. Love it! Noisey? NO, not to me, I have another EPSON C120 both about the same low noise level.
I also like the fact they both use the same ink, I used the generic cartridges and have for several years and saves lots of money compared to EPSON's pricey ones.
