Greatest Wireless G range, but discontinued for a much more expensive G/N
This is a special use router. It puts out a very high power G signal and will reach through walls like crazy. You can use the base setup to crank up the output and a DDWRT disk is supplied if you want to go with open source. Only had 1 problem, probably a bad flash but they are very reliable.
CONs There are NO ports other then the input cat 5/6. This device is designed to send wireless very far and that's it. It covers security protocols WPA, WPA2, AES, TKIP,and the rest of the alphabet soup techs live in. In closing, if it's fast enough this will go far enough as the replacement G/N is not quite as strong and costs $50 more.Read full review...
One powerfull router !
I use 2 of these as bridges with 2 circular polarized antennas, 5 mile range. At 1.6 miles I am testing at up to 6 MB this is up from the previous linksys ap's I used which only gave me 2.8 MB max connection. These are really easy to use and set up.Read full review...
