Crysis 2 sidesteps the excessive simplification of recent shooters with Nanosuited grace. It mixes destruction with beauty, and manages to deliver a more focused experience than its predecessor while retaining the building blocks of what made the original Crysis unique. Crysis 2 is the kind of game that speaks in superlatives -- and even when it stumbles, it's quick to recover, always pushing forward to another amazing moment. Crysis 2 succeeds. It’s a beautiful, engrossing experience that avoids the anemic, scripted playbook made law by the 500 pound shooter gorilla. It plays well, encourages creative problem-solving, and confidently delivers a series of escalating and changing encounters and scenarios that will push you to think in a way few shooters have in an era of increasingly funneled experiences. While Crysis 2 loses its footing during a few odd moments, Crytek more than delivers on the promise of their previous games.
The Graphics presented in this game will blow your breath away.
While everything looks great some parts look a step of video games and into Real Life!! That is why parts of this game simply show what the PS4 Graphics Will be Like for early games! Just AMAZING. After praising the visuals lets talk gameplay. Weapons have good customization. The overall feeling is the standard COD gameplay with some added Powers that the Nano suit provides you such as super strength, invisibility, Armor, and Vision. All of these features are able to be used any time throughout the entire game. This gives the game a very personal feel, given that u are allowed to play through the game in whatever style u want to. AI for the enemy Aliens is the smartest of any FPS i have ever seen including K3 COD BO, R2. UPDATE!-After playing through again I have that even though enemys may seem to have great tactics, there is an issue of AI running hot and cold (once in a while you might see an enemy doing the roger rabbit).
Multiplayer-I have not started yet but I do no that due to some uneven games based on these different styles of playing, the multiplayer is simply great vs. Spectacular like it should be.
Crysis 2 starts and ends in an unbelievable experiences that immerses into the New York City's ultimate fate. People who love amazing thrills, record breaking graphics and innovative shooting techniques (which I forgot to mention; like shooting while sliding under a car or table or using an advanced cover system)will and should just on the game right away! It is only possible to be skeptical if you are picky about the exact quality of your campaign fighting you are getting. Players choice of fighting is great however either way u slice it is mostly pretty strategical.
Campaign: MY HIGHLY EXPERIENCED GAME RATING - 9.3/10
(It was a 10 for me though :)
Multiplayer: BASED ON COMMON ANSWERS FROM PLAYERS - 8.8/10
i received this game the other day and it is amazing. i have played everyday since receiving this game 4 days ago. great for my upgrades in the game but not so much for studying i need to get done. the gameplay is fast and responsive and just all around fun. its a first person shooter but a lot more unique than the average war based or alien shooter.
pros: fun fun fun, different than call of duty, lots of players on multiplayer, missions are challenging not to short or too long.
cons: no 2 player co-op thats my only complaint
Not bad for a limited edition but only comes with a Voucher Code which makes it the "limited edition"...which would be downloadable content...which includes-
Scar Assault Rifle/Digital Camo
Scar Hologram Decoy
Unique Platinum DOG-Tag (displays a players rank in multiplayer and can be viewed by others).
Bonus XP (awards additional exp points that boost the players up to rank 5).
Something that you can use during the game and not items that you would throw in your desk drawer sitting there useless. Code gets you something you can use.
I bought the game hoping to find a mixture of halo and call of duty, but after playing I felt like it was leaning a lot more on the call of duty end of things. There are some very unique game elements thrown in which I really enjoy such as invisibility and armor boost, but also some that I think are pretty poor additions (namely the super kick). I haven't played any other games in the series, but I've heard it's worth while to upgrade to Crysis 3.
crysis 2 is a very good first person shooter, but what makes this game different than others is that its the ordinary run and gun game...you really have to have a stradegy on how you do things....
Crysis 2 has to live up to a high standard. Not only did the original Crysis pack a lot of high-quality action into its good-sized campaign, but its stunningly authentic rendering of lush jungle vistas set the graphical standard by which all modern shooters are judged. Fortunately, this sequel does an admirable job of living up to the original's reputation of sheer technical prowess. It doesn't feature all the visual bells and whistles you might expect in a game from a developer known for pushing the limits of modern hardware. But, this sequel still looks amazing, and it plays that way too
This is a great sci-fi shooter game and its a great follow-up in the Crysis series. Graphics are amazing and the storyline is interesting but still easy to follow.
If you like playing Halo with the mix of Call of Duty this is the game for you. I just sold my Black ops to get this game. It has little Call of Duty elements, but the new twist is enough to keep me interested. Crysis has VERY UNIQUE game play. For ex. you get to go stealth and snap people's neck! Really Fun Game for the Ps3!
It took me awhile to fully warm up to this game, but now that I have I honestly think it's one the best I have ever played and I hate to see it end. I did just learn however that Crysis 1 (originally available only for the PC) has been adapted to play on the PS3 and is now available by download, so I can't wait to give that a try while waiting for Crysis 3 to come out later this year.
