After 2 disappointing seasons, Buffy the Vampire Slayer finally rebounded for it's final season. I don't know if the writers came back from sabatical or they just got rid of some deadweight characters (Glory, Riley Finn), but the dread with a comic twist came back. Sarah Michelle Geller's downer monologs are FINALLY mocked (let's face it, she was barely any better than William Shatner in that respect) and the series took off at breakneck speed to it's surprising and satisfying conclusion.
Dork that I am I fell in love with this show, and specifically Sipke, after it had gone off the air. I ended up buying several seasons in stores across my home town but I couldn't find seven. I ordered it off e-bay and my collection is complete.
But that's besides the point. Seson seven is an interesting season. Really interesting for Spike fans, as he goes through a lot here. But Buffy doesn't seem to have her heart in it. As the young potentials begin to arrive in Sunnydale and Buffy starts giving rousing speeches at the end of every episode it becomes apparent that she doesn't want to be there anymore. The speeches usually seem forced and parctised and are often times shoved in at wierd moments. If they were all but gone, the season would be much better. But alas, in season seven Buffy transforms into some kind of motivational speaker.
Really that's my only beef with it though. Otherwise it's engaging and funny, just like all the other Buffy seasons. I would recommend it, but remember to bring something to read durring her long talks.

I bought this because I enjoy the series and seemed, like us never home when it was on Riddler TV. Plus no commercials.
I used to stay up and watch the show, but being in school and working has taken time away from seeing many shows I used to watch. I bought the season because I wanted to catch up on all that I had missed.
I really like this season,I bought it because I am collecting seasons 1-7.
I have really enjoyed all seasons of buffy the vampire slayer.
The first few episodes were not as good as I hoped they would be. They moved slow and made too much of a focus on spike going crazy. The fourth episode on was part of the best season ever. It was full of surprises, action, and even a tear striker. The finale was the best ending they could do. I highly reccomand this season!
I really liked season seven but it didn't feel like things were tied together at the end like I would have liked. Basically Sunny-dale was destroyed and they saved the world and now there are a ton of new slayers..... then what! Maybe it was just me wanting the series to continue but the whole 7th season seemed a bit repetitious. Seemed like it drug on and on until the big last scene which didn't last long. Over all though I still enjoyed it and would recommend the who series. It was a great story, Jos Wedon did a great job through out
it was my girlfriends i guess it was fine i never watched it but she didn't complain but like once because one skipped but then it started to work
