I enjoy the whole Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. Season four still has the clever one-liners and the humor of the entirely make-believe world of vampires, demons, and other worldly dimensions. The only complaint I have ever had about this season is that Willow becomes a lesbian and continues to be for the rest of the series. I could understand the circumstances in which Willow starts this lesbian realtionship but I have never thought that it ever made any sense to have her continue on as a lesbian. I don't think Willow had tendencies in the lesbian direction and that she stays a lesbian just seems out of place and looks like it was just there to make some political statement. Kind of awkward. Alyson Hannigan who plays Willow does an excellent job with the role change.
Season Four has some great highlights like the return of Spike and Willow and Tara falling in love. The only thing I didn't like this season was the whole government Initiative plot line. However the character of Riley played by Marc Blucas ended up being a good addition. One character I missed seeing was Buffy's mom Joyce but then again that was most likely just a precursor of what was to come in Season 5. Other than that the characters kept growing in the most unexpected directions. The dialogue was clever as always.
This dvd was in great condition. If you are a Buffey the Vampire Slayer fan then you would want to purchase this season and all the seasons. It is fun to see Sarah Michele grow with each year passing.
Great movies. I always love the Buffy the Vampire Slayer seasons. I bought it to help complete my set.
I became addicted to the series when my son bought me season 1 as a gift. From there I had to watch the rest. The characters are interesting. I was a little disappointed with the ending of season 4. Very anti-climatic. The previous 3 seasons had cliffhanger type season ending episodes....
i got hooked on buffy way too late, but i am enjoying watching all the seasons. i'm a big fan of joss whedon and this is him at his best.
