The BlackBerry Curve 8530 smart phone neatly fits in your hand. A full QWERTY keyboard makes typing and sending messages easy, and comfortable. The bright screen displays over 65,000 colors, providing a great viewing experience. Take photos or videos...
I purchased the phone because I cracked my other one (I had a blackberry but it was the previous model). I love the look of the phone and everything it can do. But......I actually think this model has less features example cant customize screen icons.
I love the color Violet, thought I would like the flat control but after actually using it I miss the rollerball I had on my previous phone (Ex The flat control gets stuck a lot and makes it hard to get where you are going) . Also the camera does not have a flash....at least I havent found it yet if there is one.
The battery life is excellent. The keyboard and track-pad are a great combination. The phone is snappy and responsive. The screen is not very sharp and the camera has no flash and is fixed focus only, so the pictures are only Ok. I would give the 9330 4 stars if it had a flash. The BlackBerry is wonderful for Facebook, Twitter, Email, SMS and MMS. It is not very good for games and media display (e.g. showing off your movies and pictures). But the battery lasts a couple days easily and the keypad is very easy to type on. This is no iPhone, but it wasn’t meant to be.
I loved all of the options that you had with the phone, from customizing every aspect of your ringtone settings to the enhanced features in the contact list (what other phone offers the ability to store birthdays, anniversaries, and obviously every contact technique known to man?). But when it got to the use of the phone, all of that went out the window. I felt that the buttons were hard to manage comfortably. I also felt like when I was on the phone that the clarity that the phone had was dismal at best. Should I not have had LG phones with excellent call clarity in the past, this may not have been an issue for me. To anyone that is looking to do a lot on the go, I believe that this may be the phone for you. The best thing you can do, is try one out, whether just typing on one at the store a few different times before you buy it, or just borrow a friends for a few minutes.
I wanted get a WiFi phone for my daughter so that she can quickly check her email and Facebook. We get what we paid for and overall satisfied with the purchase. If we wanted a ligntning fast phone then we would have to pay a lot more. It is rather a cute than a cool phone. Good upgrade from a basic phone. Processor is pretty slow but still serves the purpose. Apps store has very limited inventory which has nothing to do with this particular phone. It is the Blackberry market that is dying. Texting feature is actually very nice. We can see the trail of texts. Battery is acceptable. Full charge survives the whole day of video and game.
the controls get some getting used to, low battery life and limited usage due to company signal the phone is nice and has features outdated in a technological field but it is a good business phone which is what blackberry has always shot for...
This phone was purchased because my daughter is hiking the the mountains and I wanted a phone for security and internet access. The phone is easy to use once you trawl through the on-line manual. The battery life is very poor if using the internet. The phone was good value for money but I would certainly do more research on battery life before purchasing any BlackBerry or smartphone.
if you want a phone to text check email and talk this is what you need but forget about anything else the browser sx no good games supported the multimedia sux on this phone if thats what you looking for but the keyboard and email love it
I bought it for my wife, the material looks cheap, the keyboard button kinda hard to type on but you'll get use to it. The battery life is not so good, even worst when the signal is low but well worth it for beginner user
They do not have SIM cards so everytime you want to change a network you have to flash the phone. it does not work in my country, Zambia where Verizon wireless network is not available.
