Before I bought this phone I had a NOKIA E63. It was a great phone but there was one problem (the updates did not come directly to the phone) making it a little slow. Otherwise than that all the applications worked seamless and were quite userfriendly.
I wish I could say the same for BB9700,
-There is no pdf reader on this thing and it seems you have to pay US$9.99 for one that does not work.
-The flashlight feature is difficult to locate.
-I like to write notes to myself as reminders. This feature is not easily accessible on this phone.
-The buttons are extremely small for those of you with large fingers or where nail tips. You will be constantly hitting incorrect keys. On the 8520 model users have more space for typing. It is more user friendly in that regard.
-The battery life really sucks!
-With reference to applications available for the phone, it also seems that any programme which would be remotely interesting does not work although the apps have been supplied by RIM (official creator of blackberry).
PS. - Apps from NOKIA store actually work.
- When the battery on NOKIA has fully charged it gives a little beep so you know to stop charging the battery. This extends the battery life. This does not happen with BB9700. It is such a nuisance.
The chat feature works great, and that is the primary reason why I switched from my NOKIA.
In my country most people have a Blackberry. Thet mostly use it for BB messenger which is highly economical for chatting when most of your friends have the service and THAT is the only reason why I switched to Blackberry.
Oh the joys and wonders of peer pressure.
This is a high end product with excellent messaging features but can not make voip calls. It has wifi and 3g broadband connection options but does not support full duplex voice communication because of its hardware limitations.
Decided to buy this Blackberry for its good price vs. model's features. I love that the shipping standards where complied in such a level that product was received prior the expected date. What I really dislike is that the phone was not under full operational conditions since the battery discharged really fast and affected the phone's performance which made me do an extra costing to acquire a new phone. Blemishes and signs of wear are noticeable.
Not much improved over previous Blackberry OS...mostly smoke and mirrors and cosmetic alterations. Still the same outdated and archaic system, but with a new coat of paint to conceal the fact that nothing has been improved. Much faster processor than my Blackberry 8820, but this is still no iPhone. The only thing it's good for is messaging, but other than that, it suffers serious performance issues with the web browser, applications, ease of use, and reliability.
If Research in Motion doesn't pick up their game in the smartphone market, they are going to be in some serious trouble. Will probably sell this phone and pick up an Android device or the iPhone 4 soon.
At first when I got my blackberry I was happy then after going thru all its features I notice there's a game app but no games installed on the phone whiched made wonder was this a new phone r a used one cause all blackberry phones came installed with a game app, but then after d/loading the blackberry app on my phone I noticed I could d/loads loads of game so then I forgot about being sold an used phone, but aprt from that the phone is pretty awesome let's me keep in contact wit all my bbm friends and those tht aren't as well also access to browse the net with wifi connectivity. I bought also the white cause most person had the black and I liked also how the white looked even though there's not much difference to the black but the color. Well for now that's my review
I sent the phone back after having it 2 weeks. No one was able to hear me hardly at all even when the speaker phone was on. They said it sounded like I was in a cave and had a bad echo. Not to mention it sucked battery life like no tomommorow. I even had all the extra's turned off (WiFi, bluetooth, etc..). Not very pleased with the phone.
Great if you bought at a low price, great to use bbm, fb and mails, Everything else, better buy an android phone or an iphone.
well the product worked well, but the downside of this i really thought it would come with a little extra supplies like a memory card, home charger or the usb head. but overall the phone was a good deal. besides the extra scurf which i saw.
I bought the New Model one week ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone.
this is an amazing phone, but from the buyer I bought is such as used, and not the original one from the factory. I like to be in touch always with friends and family via Blackberry Messenger.
