The item i received was broken. Therefore i cannot write an acurate review. i'm sure it is a very good product, which is why i was buying it. The size was good. The only thing i could say that was bad about it is that you have to have special headphones, or an adapter in order to turn up the volume, pause & play, skip to the next song, or to the previous.
Great size, design and colors also great for long run workouts, but the capacity is too small (4 GB). I don't like the original headphones too. Will change them soon.
The Shuffle is very tiny, which is a bonus, and the 4 GB of memory is nice, however, I did not realize that there were no controls on the Shuffle for volume or changing songs. You have to have special headphones, and you have no idea what songs are playing and no way to get to the next song in your playlist. I would not buy another one.
I bought the 3rd Gen shuffle due to the large memory capacity since I misplaced my 2nd Gen shuffle and haven not been able to find it. But having used the 2nd Gen shuffle for so long, I must say that I prefer the 2nd Gen shuffle to the 3rd Gen even though the 2nd Gen shuffle has a smaller memory capacity. Not a big fan of of the remote being on the headphones. Remote feels really flimsy. Also keep having problems with the remote. It freezes and at time will lower the volume its self. Never had these problems with my 2nd Gen shuffle In the end, I plan to get another 2nd Gen shuffle. I will not buy another 3rd Gen shuffle.
I like the fact that this small ipod holds more songs than my old shuffle but that is about all. I bought this shuffle used from ebay and did not receive the original headphones that contain the ability to adjust the sound level and change your song selection. After reading reviews on the headphones and how unsatisfactory they are, I figued I could do without. For right now, I am just using this shuffle in my car and it works fine but eventually I will break down and order a convertor so I can use regular headphones that are comfortable for me and that will also enable me to be able change songs when I want to and adjust sound level as well. The truth is I'm not entirely pleased with this product and therefore broke down and found a used ipod shuffle like I used to have and it works perfect. Apple needs to go back to what works.
The New shuffle is nice because it has more capacity and its very small, that is where my praises stop. You can not use it with auxillary jacks to play music because all the controls are on the headphones. The new voice software does not work so well. You have to use it with apple's proprietary headphones, its the only way it will work. Think twice before buying this product it wont work with any of the many aftermarket products that are made to work with ipods.
Awesome size! The ipod shuffle is so small and works as a perfect running mate. I use this every time I go running. It's so small and light, therefore, it never bothers me from running. It allow me to enjoy both running and listening to favorite songs at the same time!! Highly recommended to those runners!!
I bought it to use when I exercise, it had all kind of volume problems after the first time I used it. Tried everything I could think of like cleaning off the music and reloading. I took it to the Apple store and they fixed it and it has been excellent since then. They said it was the earbud control. Whatever it was, it is working now perfectly and I really like it. The one thing I would change if I could would be a longer cord on the earbuds.
The price is the most attractive feature. The built in clip is awesome, but the sound quality is not nearly as good as what you get from a larger iPod. I got mine for $15, so it was worth it to me just to have something to jog with. If I wanted sound quality, I would go with one of the larger models.
I don't like the fact that it doesn't have the needed accessories like the USB connector. I like the fact that it's small, which makes it nice for jogging. However, I don't like the fact that you can't skip songs or adjust the volume level.
