I hate apple. And their Ipod nano such as this one is stupid. Just waiting to be dropped or damaged. There are so many cheaper model MP3 players that have larger storage that are much better. I will say the quality of the ipod nano is good and it seems well built. I just hate that you have to install itunes to do anything with it. Why cant I load it like a removable drive and put the files on it I want to? Why does Apple make things so stupid and complicated with their software?
Apple wants too much control of what you do with your stuff and this is a good example. My used Ipod already had music loaded on it.... instead of just being able to unload the music and add more you have to delete the music or hack the persons previous itunes account. Why cant I just remove the files I dont want and add more like on an mp3 player? In fact, why do I have to convert my mp3's into AAC files to even play them on the ipod?
Ipod nano is CRAP!
The new iPod falls short from what I expected from Apple. The shuffle feature is terrible. From the coverlist (the main database for all your music), you can only toggle between shuffling the songs with in each album (after the album finishes, it stops) and shuffling the albums (the songs within the albums are played in order). There is no option to toggle to shuffle all songs.
The only way to shuffle all songs (I did check with tech support) is to go back to the beginning menu and manually shuffle all the songs. Once done, the only way to stop the shuffling is to interrupt your music, go back to the main menu and re-enter into the Coverlist...it makes no sense! And iTunes isn't like that, nor do I think any of their other products are like that.
The other dissapointment is that their manual says that you can send music from the coverlist into a playlist called "OnTheGo", but I checked with their techsupport, and that isn't true. You can only send music to the "OnTheGo" playlist from music already placed into a playlist from your computer. So, no way to actually created playlists on the go from your main database.
Overall, I am very dissapointed in their product. I feel like Apple really fell short of their normal attention to detail. It seems there is a very good reason for the price deduction, and I would not recommend this product to anyone.
I have a 3rd Generation IPOD NANO. Mine is in excellent condition even though I've had it for over 5 years. The one I purchased that the owner stated was in excellent condition was not true. That has made it very hard for me to purchase anything from anyone who state no return accepted. I look for businesses now to purchase from.
i was looking for a 4gb ipod nano and this seemed to be a reasonable one to buy, but it was unclear on his web page if it was a 8gb or 4gb so if found out i guess when i got it, and he sent it in a box that was for a 1st generation case, which was odd and the ipod didnt fit in it so he put it in the side box, and in there it was clanking around uncovered, and unwrapped so i think it probably got a few scratches on it. plus he said there were no scratches on the screen but there are.
I prefer the Apple iPod Nano over the MP4 player. It was very confusing and didn't work well with my computer.
I upgraded from a previous Ipod Nano generation. I liked that it has more gadgets and more capacity. I dislike that when I tried to upgrade the music that I had on the previous Ipod it got erased. Apple has not been able to fix it. I'm not impressed with their lack of warning regarding upgrading Ipod versions
well i left good feedback by accident, the play/pause button on my ipod doesn't work. I WOULD NOT BUY FROM THIS DOUCHE BAG.
My son wanted an iPod for Christmas but since he is only 10 I thought I would use eBay instead of buying a new one for $150. I paid $75 for this and was thrilled when it arrived. Not a scratch on it Looked like it was in excellent condition. I hooked it up to the computer and could download so I was satisfied and put it away until Christmas. My son loved it when he opened it and wanted to fill it right away. We did and everything he wanted to put on it fit on the 8GB. Thats when the problem started - The click wheel has a mind of its own. It is almost impossible to go to the playlist or song you are looking for. As you try to lightly skim your finger around the wheel, it skips around and you can't control it. He is barely using it now and it was one of his favorite gifts. I guess I will have to spend the $150 after all
I just got my apple ipod today 1/4/2010. The condition of the ipod looks bad, it looked like its been mess around with. idk why? Right now Im charging it so lets see if it works if not im diffenently returning the ipod back to its owner i bought on ebay. When I open the package it seem as if it was not handle with care espeacilly the wrapping in the mail. So lets see if it works or not when its done charging. It better work cause im sure no one even me wants to buy something off ebay and it doesnt work!!!!
Although the iPod is an excellent choice when looking for devices to play audio and visual media, this seller needs to be more clear about the specifications. AN IPOD CANNOT PLAY MP3 FILES. THEY NEED TO BE CONVERTED.
