The phone is not reliable to me.

No, I would not recommend this product.

The phone has poor coverage/netwok system as im missing communication most of the time, when its not in service it takes forever to pick up the network coverage. It changes my life because i have to carry a phone charger with me most of the time. I had a Nokia phone which was perfect and i still use to switch my SIM card to another phone when im expecting important call. The phone also has poor connection to my earpiece as it needs to stay close to the phpne you can get clesr conversation.

If this were the pre-iphone 4 years, it would easily rate it 5 stars.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

As a fan & admirer of Apple products, I can still remember the unavailing of the first iPhone in high school & the hysteria that followed soon after, at least on how to obtain one. Back then you either had to have deep pockets to buy it full price, or just have a good job (and/or) loving parents to pay the AT&T bills that went with it. With generations like the 3G & so on, the ability to unlock has opened doors in terms of features & service plans, making the options much wider/affordable then before.
But as the "generations" change, as do the features, look & over all performance of the iPhones. & being the 2nd generation, the iPhone 3G has a bit to show in terms of it's predecessor, but doesn't really compare to it's next relative down the line the 3GS (My current Phone). The "S" in the name did noticeably speed up the performance quite a bit (& it surprisingly keeps up well with current iOS, can't say the same for the 3G).
My overall rating is 3 stars simply because it's not 2008 anymore, I'm done with high school & i'm growing up, and so is the iPhone. Apple's current line does show the progression of their technology, even just 4 years later. & My features rating is 4 stars because this iPhone STILL does what it was MEANT/Designed to do (even if it's not up to some of our current standards). But as the saying goes it's also important to respect our elders, and so ends my personal review of the iPhone 3G.

Good choice!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I bought this product because I have family and friends who own the same one and they gave it a good rating. I like the product, I wish they would come out with one that also has a keyboard. Compared to other phones that I've had this one is really nice, although I'm not big on the newer phones. I had to send it back for another one because the battery would not hold a charge, other than that I was very satisfied with my purchase.

Shouldn't have gotten less than a 3GS with the IOS operating system in it.

No, I would not recommend this product.

Response time when changing functions is very slow. You can't send pictures. You can't stream music or video. You have to carry charger with you because battery life is very short. However the size of the screen and quality of IPOD seem to be very good. I probably bought one generation older iPhone than I really wanted.

Review For: Apple iPhone 3G - 16GB - Black (AT&T) Smartphone

This phone was purchased so I could upgrade phones without having to renew our contract for two years. I like the way you can do things that you can't on other phones. The phone I purchased was not as I had hoped that it would be. It did not live up to its potential as described. I have been watching these phones for a long time to get a good price. Always read the descriptions over and over on what you are bidding on. Always try it out as soon as possible if you make a purchase. Be alert to the purchase you will be making. Watch your timelines.

unhappy customer.

No, I would not recommend this product.

after having the phone for not even a day, i had to take it to apple store to get a new one cause it did not have the right IOS in it and i was told it was a 3G but it is a 3GS and was not updated to the right IOS. I had to pay $149 to get a 3GS with the right IOS system.

i phone

used i phone and broken screen , i deiced to buy it because was very cheap.
p for sale is an Iphone 3Gs 32gb in great condition. It includes original box, charger, earphones, manual, eject pin...i will also throw in a hardcase. phone is jailbroken and is on the 4.0.1 firmware which means that it can be unlocked and its a MB.
If you want to activate a used iPhone, you have a few options. The first option is the easiest: take it to an AT&T Wireless store and set up a new account. A second option is to jailbreak the iPhone and use it as an iPod touch without phone service. A third option is to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone for use on another carrier like T-Mobile.

Please enter the correct information in the highlighted

P bought the NewPhone 74205 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.
